Talking about Pain
1.Teacher writes the dialogue on the board
2. Teacher writes on the board “what is
wrong?” and “what is the matter” and
shows that they mean the same thing.

be a doctor and patient. Teacher writes a
doctor-patient dialogue on the board, and
students practice.

D.S2 Patient: I have a fever and a cough. I’m
also sneezing.
E.S1 Doctor: Let me take your temperature.
Hmm. 101 degrees. Do you have a
headache?
F. S2 Patient: Yes, I do.

H. S2 Patient: No, I don’t.
I. S1 Doctor: I think you have the flu. Takes
this medicine two times a day. Get some
rest. Drink a lot of water.
J. S2 Patient: Okay doctor. Do I need to
come back next week?
K. S1 Doctor: Yes, please. I need check you
again.
L. S2 Patient: Okay, Doctor. Thank you so
much.
Evaluation Speaking Test : Going to the doctor
