As I see it, this situation can be classified as Classical Conditioning. It has been stated that Kate always
wear the same old green jacket whenever he takes her dog Ichiro out for a walk, and because of this,
Ichiro gets excited whenever she puts it on. This is because Ichiro already learned that the old green
jacket was a reliable predictor that they will go outside for a walk. So therefore, this learning by
association is Classical Conditioning—learning through the association of a neutral stimulus with a
biologically potent stimulus.

2.

After analyzing the situation, I can say that this is Social/Modeling Learning. We easily notice the human
tendency to copy behaviors that we see around us. I just saw the greatest pianist in my hometown and
noticed her technique of playing the piano and imagined that I can also do the same. In here, I may say
that we can learn to behave in certain ways just by watching others what they do and this idea of
learning to imitate others by observing their behavior is called Social Modeling which is also reffered to
as Social Learning.

3.

This type of learning is Operant Conditioning. Operant conditioning relies on a fairly simple premise, that
is, actions that are followed by reinforcement will be strengthened and more likely to occur again in the
future. In this situation, Chesca is always praised whenever she engaged in a cooperative play that is
why she was more likely to play with other children. Since the behavior was followed by reinforcement,
or a desirable outcome, the preceding action is strengthened and more likely to be repeated.

4.

In my understanding, this is an Operant Conditioning. Since Kian refuses to take out the trash, his
mother also refuses to allow him to watch his favourite TV show in the evening. Because of this, Kian will
be less likely to repeat that action again. He will probably learn to behave in such a way to obtain
rewards and to avoid punishments. Actions that result in punishment or undesirable consequences will
be weakened and less likely to occur again in the future.

5.

This is type of learning is obviously Classical Conditioning. Classical conditioning involves placing a
neutral signal before a naturally occurring reflex. In this situation, the neutral signal was the white
uniform, and the naturally occurring reflex was crying in response to it. By associating the neutral
stimulus with the environmental stimulus, seeing a lady in white made Mary cry since the lady
pediatrician that gave her an injection when she was five years old wore a white uniform.
6.

As we may recall, an unconditioned stimulus is something that naturally and automatically triggers a
response without any learning. In this situation, after an association is made (eating a spicy food at Tia
Mexicana restaurant), Jersey began to emit a behavior (perspiring) in response to the previously neutral
stimulus, which is now known as a conditioned stimulus. It is at this point that we can say that the
response has been acquired—the perspiration, in response to the restaurant where she ate a spicy food.
Therefore, this learning can be classified as Classical Conditioning.
