I understood Module 2 as the foundation of our course proper.

In simpler terms, development

communication promotes productive human interaction, at it is innate and vital for the society and
therefore, to survive and progress. Module 2 also discussed how communication mirrors various aspects
in each individual and even as a community. Such aspects include cultural identity, attitude, and
personality. Several societal issues, if not all are anchored with communication. Moreover, a decisive
role can be played by communication in promoting human development in today's new climate of social
change. Lastly, Module 2 also introduced quite a few concepts of communication, some of which are
already practiced such as organizational, interpersonal, and even provided explanations on how to
overcome barriers in communication. Through development communication, we can stimulate
awareness, participation, and capabilities.
