Product History: Kinder Surprise toys have been around since 1972, when they were invented
by a Swiss-born industrial designer called Heiri Roth. It was he who masterminded the idea of
creating a toy that could be fitted inside a chocolate egg to eat and be put together to create a
toy that could end up bigger than the capsule it came out of. Roth has been the brains behind
many Kinder Surprise toys, especially the earlier ones.
Product Design:
Target Audience: the target audience for kinder surprises is mostly for children but must be
supervised by adults before they can eat them.
Rival Products: the rival products of kinder surprise are Nutella, cherry, and tic tac.
