Amendment XIV (14) 14th amendment


Section 1.
All persons born or naturalized in the United States,
and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of
the United States and of the state wherein they reside.
No state shall make or enforce any law which shall
abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the
United States; nor shall any state deprive any person
of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law;
nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal
14th amendment protection of the laws.

Civil rights- Those rights promised to every U.S.


citizen because of the 14th amendment.

Civil Liberties- the freedom of a citizen to exercise


customary rights, as of speech or assembly, without
Civil Rights and Civil Liberties interference by the government.

Individuals treated unfairly because of their race,


religion, gender, ethnic group or physical disability.

Lawful- smokers, adults only, bank loans based on

Themes I see in the information:
There seems to be a repeating theme of inclusion. In more depth, everyone of all races/ beliefs has
certain rights under the constitution.
