Theme: Business Meeting

Boss: Good morning everyone!

Employees: Good morning, Sir!

Boss: By the way, is everybody already here?

Employees: Yes, Sir!

Boss: Okay, thank you all for being here on time.

*Boss greets the employees

Boss: Before we proceed to our meeting, how are you all doing? So far, is everybody doing well?

Employee 1: I’m doing well Sir. But just recently, for the first time, there is a covid case here in our
Barangay. But so far, my family and I are still okay and doing good.

Boss: Thats good. For now, I think you all should not go out yet until it is safe already. Just stay on your
home if you have nothing to do outside.

Employee 1: Yes sir. Thank you Sir!

Boss: How about the others? Do you have any news or updates?

Employee 2: None, Sir.

Boss: Okay, so lets start the meeting today. By the way, do you all have the meeting agenda that I sent
via email?

All Employees: Yes Sir!

*The formal meeting start

Employee 1: …. but also in abroad such as Malaysia and Thailand because according to the article I have
read, foreign countries like these two have communities that are very fond of ________.

Boss: Hmmmm… That is a very good idea but to expand to foreign countries, we need large amount of
money. Therefore, we need to find foreign investors who want to invest in our company and what do
you think Miss_______?

Employee 2: Well, I agree with that _______. Moreover, this company is just established recently. It will
be quite difficult for us to attract a foreign investor. In my opinion, it would be better if we focus on
expanding within Philippines and instead of foreign investors, we should look for local investors for now.
Boss: Okay very well... I agree with your opinion. And Employee1, in your opinion, where is the strategic
area suitable for expansion of our product outside of Manila?

Employee 1: I think the suitable region are CALABARZON, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Davao
Region, because these regions have high income population so it is very suitable for our products that
are targeted at middle and upper income people. In addition, after the team and I conducted a market
research a few weeks ago, it turns that the people in the three regions had a taste for a fairly high
collection of watches. So, this would be a golden opportunity to develop our products.

Employee 2: I agree with you Miss _______. If we make a target area which have high income
population we can convince investors that our product is a local watch product but with international
quality that way many local investors will want to invest in our company.

Employee 1: *Nods as a sign of agreement

Boss: This is a very extraordinary idea. Furthermore, to strengthen market share, we not only need a
strategic place but we also need to do massive advertising whether it's on social media or television.

Employee 1: *A bit hesitant

: Uhm I think to increase brand awareness and brand image of ________, we need brand
ambassador and advertising stars that can make people more interested in buying _______.
Moreover, so far, our company has not done enough advertising, so not many people know
about this product. Therefore, I think _______(names of advertising star) are very suitable to be
the stars of our product advertisement because they both have a fairly strong appeal amount to
the people of Philippines while _______(names of brand ambassador) are suitable if they are
our brand ambassadors because they have many instagram and youtube followers.

Boss: Okay I agree with your proposed advertising star, but I disagree if ____ (model) and
______(model) will be our brand ambassador because they lack appeal in society.

Employee 2: What if ___ (model) and ____ (model) Sir because I see that those two artists are very
famous and they can better describe the quality of ______(product).

Boss: Yes, I agree with your proposal Ms. _____(employee 2). This is an amazing idea because I never
thought that _______(model), _______(model), _______(model) and _______(model) would be
partners of our company. If we succeed in cooperating with these four artists, it will be an added value
of our product in the eyes of the consumer and the sales will definitely increase

Employee 1: When will be the start of this plan, Sir?

Boss: We will execute this plan next month so for miss____ to immediately prepare funds and find
investors to help run our business plan.

Employees: Yes Sir!

Boss: So before we dismiss today's meeting, Miss ___ will sum up the things we agreed on.

Employee 3: Based on the result of this meeting, these are the several points or agreement included.
First, our company only focuses on expanding its market share in the Filipino region especially outside
Metro Manila. Second, we need local investors to develop our products throughout Philippines. Third,
we have agreed that _______ advertisement stars are ___________ and __________ while our
ambassador and ambassadress brand are ________ and _________. Lastly, this plan will be realized
next month, October 2020.

Boss: Alright, thank you for that, Ms. Employee 3! Before we close this meeting, do you have any
questions?

Employees: None, Sir.

Boss: Okay, that will end our today’s meeting. We may have a more fruitful years ahead and success for
everyone. Thank you. See you around.
