DURHAM, N.C. - Durham Delivers launched its service to the Durham community on
Thursday, September 10.
Cara Rosseau, the Co-Founder of Durham Delivers, created this business due to COVID-19’s
impact on local restaurants. The delivery service is effective and efficient as it provides benefits
to both its valued customers and clients.
Customers choose one out of the 33 restaurants to order from. Their orders are picked up and
delivered to one of the nine locations the service offers that
given day.
Local restaurant owners have also been pleased with the service as they continue to keep their
businesses afloat during the pandemic.
“My staff and I are thrilled to be part of Durham Delivers. Local folks get to eat local food, and
local businesses benefit. It’s a win-win-win,” said Joe Chefman, the owner of Yum and Then
Some.
###
Mr. Carman:
You're tired of cooking. Local restaurants are at full capacity. You don’t want to pay for a
delivery service fee. What do you do? You decide to place a take-out order at one of your
favorite local restaurants in the city. Instead of driving to the restaurant and getting stuck in
traffic, you drive to a destination that is closer than normal. When you arrive, you are distracted
by the aroma and the smiling faces of the Durham Delivers’ employees.
This brand-new delivery service would be an ideal story for The Washington Post. Durham
Delivers has taken the extra step to provide quality service to its customers and clients in
Durham, North Carolina. As a subscriber of The Washington Post, I have read a few of your
articles, but my favorite one is the recent review on the “3 Taco shops that you need in your life
right now.” You provided the reader with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a mouth-watering taste of
tacos. I believe that your creative writing skills would help gain publicity for Durham Delivers as
it continues to expand in the near future. From the honors and awards you have received to the
decade worth of experience in journalism, gives me hope that you would make this small story
come to life.
We are offering this exclusive story to you and The Washington Post, so I would need to know
by Sept. 21 if you would be interested. I can provide you with the appropriate contact
information regarding interviews from customers, clients, and business representatives. If you
would like to learn more about the business’s interaction with the community, consider checking
out their Facebook and Twitter page.
Please let me know how I can be of help. You may contact me at 703-362-2266.
