4 STEP THEORY RULES

https://sunilgondhalekar.blogspot.com/2016/12/my-journey-to-4-step-theory.html

1ST STEP (FOR PLANET)

RULE No. 1
a) As per KP the Planet signifies the House it is placed and the House(s) it owns (i.e. it is
lord of the cusp). But theoretically the signification of the Planet should be different if there
are planets in its nakshatra and if there are no planets in its nakshatra.
Similarly for the house(s) it owns, if there are planets deposited in it or otherwise, its
signification should be different. To distinguish the type of signification we classify them in 2
categories—
(1) Strong (or Primary) and
(2) Weak (or Secondary)
In “Four Step Theory” our rules for this area under:
a1) If there are no planets in the nakshatra of this Planet, it will be a Strong
significator of the House it is deposited (even if there are other planets in that
House).
a2) If there are no other planets in the nakshatra s of this Planet, it becomes strong
significator of the House(s) owned by it, provided there are no planets (ignore
Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) deposited in those houses.
(Remember the KSK saying(“Tenants are stronger than the owners”)
a3) If there are other planets in the nakshatra s of this Planet, then it becomes weak
significator of the house it resides in and also the house(s) it owns.
a4) If the planet is in its own nakshatra , irrespective of whether there are other
planets in its nakshatra , then it becomes strong significator of the house it resides
in even though there are other planets in that house.
This Planet becomes strong significator of the house(s) owned by it provided there are no
planets occupying these house(s). If there are other planets occupying these house(s) it
becomes weak significator for those house(s).
SECOND STEP
RULE 2 - The planet mainly gives the results indicated by its nakshatra lord. This is most
important rule in KP. There are no exceptions to this rule. This is a discovery which has
shaken the astrological world.
The Planet signifies strongly the house occupied by its Nakshatra Lord even though there
are other planets in that house. However the planet becomes strong significator of the
house(s) owned by its Nakshatra Lord , only if these houses are empty, else it becomes a
weak significator of those house(s).
This rule is on the lines of the KP significators type A. House occupied by the planets in the
nakshatra s of the occupier of the house.
We have seen rules for Planet and it's nakshatra lord. Now in next blog we will see the rules
for Sub Lord
THIRD STEP
RULE 3 - In previous post we have learnt how to find the houses signified by a planet at
planet level and its nakshatra level. We have studied 2 rules for this. In prevalent KP practice
we restrict our analysis to these 2 steps. It is observed that predictions based on these 2
steps fail many a times. To avoid these shortcomings “Four Step Theory” has been
developed.
So, let us now proceed to 3rd and 4th steps. Both these steps are very important.
Before proceeding to the rules, it will be worthy to know how Guruji KSK invented his, now
famous, Sub theory. In the initial stages of his study/research Guruji KSK used to study the
planet level and its nakshatra level only. He used to carefully test his findings regarding its
validity and consistency.
One Sunday, while studying his own chart, he observed that the Moon nakshatra is
promising a financial gain. So, he decided to go to races. Instead of gaining he lost on that
day even though the Moon nakshatra promised gains.
He was thinking about the reasons for his loss. After coming home his wife gave some
money and told that the person to whom he has borrowed this money has returned it
today. This was another shock to him. He nakshatra ted thinking to find out astrological
reasons for this.
He was a great devotee of Lord Ganapathi, the Hindu God of wisdom. One day while
praying, he got an idea of dividing the nakshatra (or constellation) into 9 parts and allot
them to 9 planets. So, he divided the nakshatra in proportion to Vimshottari Dashas and
called them as Sub. He observed that the sub prevailing at the time of races was not
favourable and the sub at the time he came home was favourable. And that these subs
have capacity to give results as a planet.
Thus, he worked out 249 subs and formulated the rules to find out whether they are
favourable or not.
In this step 3 we consider the Sub-Lord of the planet.

RULE NO 3
Since this Sub-Lord acts as a planet, we have to follow same rules as in Step No. 1 to find out
significations of the houses.
In next blog we will see 4th step which I called is as Step of Success

FOURTH STEP
RULE 4
It is well known principle in KP that the planet gives the results indicated by its Nakshatra
Lord. Since the Sub-Lord acts as a planet, it is logical to say that this Sub-Lord will also give
results indicated by its Nakshatra Lord.
Therefore, the rules as applicable to the 2nd Step will, naturally, be applicable to 4th Step.
I call this 4th Step as most important step, the step of success. Because, I have solved many
difficult cases by the application of this 4th step. Such examples will be given in case studies
to follow.
RULE 5
Planet near the cusp will be strong significator of that cusp
(even if there are planets in its nakshatra ) in such case orb of 3-20 degree is considered.
RULE NO. 6
Aspect and conjunction is considered only in orb and it is based on degree wise and not by
Sign. Here also orb of 3-20 degree is considered.
RULE NO. 7
Nodes predominantly gives the result of 1- conjunction; 2- aspect; 3- it's nakshatra lord; 4-
Sign lord ship.
Now we will study case studies with related to above rules with application for various
subjects.
