Understanding K.P.

Significators and other Parameters

Explained below are the meanings and strength of the KP Significators.

Strength Type A significators are the strongest , followed by type B, C, D, E & F in

declining order of strength.
Note:- Star means Nakshatra, Star lord Means Nakshatra Lord.

PLANET SIGNIFICATORS

Type A : Get the house position of the star lord of this planet. (Use Cusp Chart)

Type B : Get the house position of this planet itself. (Use Cusp Chart)

Type C : Get the houses owned by the star lord of this planet (Use Cusp Chart)

Type D : Get the house/houses owned by the planet ie the Planet is the Rasi Lord of which house ?
(Use Lagna Chart)

Type E : If a planet is conjoined to any Cusp (upto 3 deg 20 min to 4 degree),

it is than a significator of that house. (This Program takes 4 degrees.)

Type F : If a planet Aspects a house, that house also becomes a significator.

( Use Lagna Chart)

Symbols used besides any planet :

# : planet is not in a Star of any planet
* : planet is in its own Star
+ : planet is in its own Sub
e : empty house, i.e no planet in the house.

HOUSE SIGNIFICATORS (Note : [e] stands for empty house)

Type A : If any planet is deposited in a cusp... check if it is the star lord of any planet
and write down the names of these planets . These are the Type A significators.

A planet in the Star of the occupant of a house is stronger than the occupant. So it should be given first
preference as a significator of that house, because it is strongest to give the results of the house occupied by
its Star lord. The occupant remains as a weak significators of that house.

Type B : Find which Planets are deposited in that cusp . These are the Type B significators.

If there is no planet in the occupants Star, the occupant becomes the strong significator of that house and it
is strong to give the results of that house. So the second preference should be given to the occupant of that
house.

Type C : Take the Rasi Lord of the cusp... check if it is the star lord of any planet
and write down the names of these planets . These are the Type C significators..

If the house is vacant, the planet in the Star of the owner of a house is stronger than the owner. So it
becomes a strong significator of that house and it is strong to give the results of that house. Hence the third
preference should be given to the planet in the owners Star and the owner remains a weak significator of
that house.

Type D : Take the Rasi Lord of the cusp. These are the Type D significators.

If the house is vacant and if there is no planet in the owners Star, the owner itself becomes the strong
significator of that house and it is strong to give the results of that house. So the 4th preference should be
given to the owner of that house.

Type E : If a planet is conjoined to any Cusp (3 deg 20 min to 4 deg), is also a significator of that house.

Type F : If a planet Aspects a house, that planet also becomes a significator for that house.
(Note : Use Lagna Chart for aspects.)

Note :- Planet significators and House Significators are effectively almost the same data , only
it is seen through different perspectives. Then using Dasa the planets perspective is
more useful. Our counselling section gives both perspectives in the same table.

RAHU-KETU
Rahu and Ketu are the most powerful significators in any chart, be it birth chart or horary chart.
Rahu and Ketu combine the role of a number of planets onto themselves. They are almost like the Jokers
in a pack of playing cards, and take up the function of a number of planets in the chart. In most charts
they become significators of a maximum number of houses, and one has to be very skilled to give
proper predictions using Rahu/Ketu.

In the program we completely analyse rahu-ketu ,a separate table for Rahu/Ketu is made.

Rahu and Ketu are Nodes. The Nodes are always stronger than the planets represented by them. In the
Order of Importance, the Nodes act as agents for the following:

The Planet with whom it is conjoined,

The Lord of the Constellation in which it is disposited,
The Planet or Planets aspecting it,
And lastly, the Owner of the Sign in which it resides._

1) Rahu and Ketu as Agents or Representatives of planets.

Rahu and Ketu are not allotted the ownership of any sign. They are occupants of the sign in a house.
So Rahu and Ketu work as agents, or representatives for the following:
-.The planet with whom they are in conjunction with, or aspect.
-.The owner of the Sign in which they are placed.

2. Rahu and Ketu as Planet

Rahu and Ketu give:
(1) The results of the Planet it is conjoined with
(2) It gives the results of the Planet(s) aspecting it
(3) It gives the results of its own Star Lord, and
(4) It gives the results of the owner of the Sign occupied by it.

3. Rahu and Ketu as Star Lords

If any planet is in the star of Rahu or Ketu, that planet will signify the matters of the house occupied by
Rahu or Ketu; that planet will indicate the matters of the house owned and occupied by the Star lord of
Rahu or Ketu; and that planet will denote the matters of the house occupied and owned by the owner of
the sign occupied by Rahu or Ketu.

4. Rahu/Ketu as Significators

Rahu and Ketu are stronger than any planet. So, if Rahu or Ketu represent any significator planet, then
Rahu/Ketu should be given first preference as a significator, in place of that significator planet.
RULING PLANETS AT THE TIME OF JUDJEMENT ( LSRD )

Order of the Ruling planets (to be seen) in accordance of their strengths

Lagna Star Lord

Lagna Sign Lord = L
Moon Star Lord = S
Moon Sign Lord = R
Day Lord = D

Note : Repeatation of Ruling planets does NOT make it Strong.

Where the Ruling planet is located in the order is what makes it strong.

Retrograde Ruling Planets :

1) Direct ruling Planets are 1st choice

2) Retrograde ruling planets, with their STAR & SUB Direct planets are 2nd choice

3) Direct RP, but its SUB AND STAR are Retrograde; is 3rd choice.

4) RP which are Retrograde & also in the STAR of retrograde planet is to be avoided ,
except for predicting events which will occur within a short time.

5) RP which are retrograde & in the STAR & SUB of Retrograde planets should be
discarded.

Rahu & Ketu as Ruling planets : Rahu & Ketu become/represent the Ruling planets if they
are :

1) Conjoined With A Ruling planet (ie 3 degree 20 minutes but in same sign.)

2) Aspected by a Ruling Planet (see from Lagna Chart), 7th aspect for all planets except
ketu, Saturn additional 3 and 10, Mars additional 4 and 8 , Jupiter additional 5 and 9

3) In the Same Sign + Same house as that of a ruling planet
