INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT (FINAL) CASE STUDY PAPER ( 1) - 10 MARKS

Student must choose ONE case study (min. 2 pages) that discusses one or multiple business
ethical issues.

Your report should include the following sections:

i. Introduction (1/2page).

ii. Case (issue/s) summary (2 pages).

iii. Discussion (1/2 page).

You are required to analyze the ethical issue(s) and demonstrate the ability to apply the
relevant ethical theories and concepts that you have learnt in the classroom. You need
to find appropriate ethical theories / concepts to link with the ethical issue(s) you have
selected. Your paper should contain the following subsections:

a. Ethical awareness – the content of this subsection can address questions such as
what are the ethical issue(s) in the context of systemic, corporate and individual
levels in the case study. Were the actions of any of the parties involved unethical?
Bonus marks will be given to students who highlight business-related ethical
issues rather than general ethical issues.

b. Awareness of stakeholders – the content of this subsection should address

questions such as who are the stakeholders of the ethical issues mentioned in the
case study. Why did the parties do unethical things? Did they have better
alternatives? What constraints did the parties face or encounter?

c. Ethical concepts -identify and discuss one or multiples ethical concepts that can
be applied such as Utilitarianism, Rights, and Justice, Due Care or any ethical
concepts that are relevant to the context of the case study.

d. Ethical suggestions – the content of this subsection may address questions such
as what are your suggestions/alternatives/options on how the ethical issue(s) in the
case can be (better) resolved.

Note: In this report you must indicate the para and lines you are referring to in
the case study.
The assignment must be typed, and professionally presented.
