Team Contract

Shared Goals:

1. To improve our ability of collaboration in teams by following a structured framework

of policies & processes.

2. To maximise scope of Peer to Peer learning by developing:

a. Functional understanding of course concepts.

b. Industry knowledge by deriving insights from varied experiences &

background within the team.

c. Interpersonal skills to become more self-aware & improve self-regulation.

3. To collectively ensure that the team is motivated, having a positive mindset through

timely engagements in different team building activities.

4. To learn to prioritize & become better at time management.

5. To instil a sense of both collective & individual accountability & develop leadership

attributes.

Participation Expectations:

1. Minimum attendance level for all meetings to be >= 90% for all team members.

2. Prior intimation to the rest of the team - of at least 12 hrs in case of any absence.

3. Punctuality: Ontime joining for all meetings to be 100% for all team members.

4. Integrity: Each team member to adhere to completion of assigned task 100%.

5. Prior intimation in case if any person is being unable to complete assigned tasks due

to some emergency or unavoidable externalities.

6. Fairness: Uniform distribution of workload across the team.

7. Pre-requisites: Completion of pre reads for the meeting to save everyone’s time.

8. Focus on Qualitative inputs vs quantity during team discussions.


9. Respecting each other’s opinion & listening to other team members Point of Views.

10. No personal & derogatory remarks towards any team member.

11. Receptive to feedback & openness to change.

Decision Making Rules:

1. In case of general conflicts, consensus building through critical & logical reasoning.

2. Marginal Non-conformance to norms (Punctuality) can be accepted up to a maximum

of 1 time per person/ term.

3. In case of any specific conflicts in the group which cannot be resolved, decision of

group leader is final & binding for the entire team.

4. All the roles in the group- group leader, time keeper, auditor & gate keeper are on a

rotation basis.

Meeting Guidelines:

1. Everyone should be active.

2. Everyone should dress appropriately.

3. Meetings should not be scheduled on short notice.

4. Meeting MOM & actionable items to be captured & tracked by group leader in every

meeting.

5. Meeting can be virtual or offline basis consensus.

6. Every meeting should have a specific agenda and discussion should be around the

same.
Norms for Handling disagreements:

1. Follow code of conduct laid out in team contract in case of defaults.

2. Be courteous and respectful to each other while handling disagreements.

3. Prioritizing team benefit & goals over individual interests.

4. Be Open to change & consider the views, perspective & reasoning of all team

members.

5. Listing Pros & Cons of each approach and then resolving the possible conflicts as a

team.

Feedback to each other:

1. 2 scheduled meetings per term focusing on constructive feedback to all team

members.

2. Technical or course content related feedback to be provided during the discussion for

quick implementation.

3. Customized personal feedback can be given on a 1 to 1 basis considering sensitivity.

4. Make use of real-life examples for giving feedback

Code of Conduct & other norms:

1. In case of attendance < 90% - Level 1 Offense

2. In case of late intimation of non- attendance – Level 1 Offense

3. In case of no intimation of non-attendance – Level 3 Offense

4. Late joining in team meetings – Level 1 Offense

5. Non completion of assigned tasks – Level 3 Offense


6. Marginal non-conformances – Tea treat!

7. In case of disrespectful or derogatory remarks towards any team member – Level 3

8. Upholding CASHD & HCC under all circumstances – MANDATORY

ADHERENCE!!

- Level-3 Offense: 500rs/person/meeting towards group fund.

- Level-2 Offense: 250rs/person/meeting towards group fund.

- Level-1 Offense: 100 rs/ person/ meeting towards group fund.
