Overview: The fisheries sector in Pakistan makes a significant contribution to the national economy,


contributing about one percent to GDP and providing jobs to about one percent of the country's labour
force. However, aquaculture has been limiting to only a certain number of areas throughout Pakistan. Our
goal is to make fish farming more easier and more accessible to the people of Pakistan.

We will provide and install biofloc fish farming units and provide necessary measurement equipments
(more discussed on this later on) free of cost to the individuals who wish to utilize any free space that
they may have i.e. rooftops. The person will buy seeds (young fish) from us at an inexpensive cost, and
look after them as well as monitor the nutrient levels in unit. At the end of each harvest, a person from our
company will collect the fish and sell them to the nearest fish market. The money made will be split 50/50
between the person in-charge of the unit and our company. To avail this offer, the person will sign the
following contract:

 I will undertake a free of cost one-week training program under company's supervision for
learning fish farm management.
 Upon training clearance, I agree to have a biofloc fish farming unit installed in my house rent-free
by (company name).
 The company will provide required fish food, monthly, at a fixed price.
 I will be liable in case of any damage to the farming unit or the equipments provided.
 I will manage the farming unit to the best of my abilities as guided by (company name), and the
money made on each harvest will be shared between me and (company name) according to the
share-sheet provided below.

 The company has the right to remove the farming unit at any time if I do not perform well.
 I have the right to buy the fish unit and the equipments at any given time from the company, stop
sharing the profit with the company and manage the unit as a separate entity without the
involvement of the company; however, I will have to pay the company in case I require their
service of collecting and selling the fish and/or equipment maintenance/repair.
 The company will not be responsible for any loss occurred in the number of fish alive in the unit
due to any given reason under my supervision.
 If I choose to not buy the fishing unit and continue sharing the money made then 6th year and
forth, I will share 20% of the money made with the company.
 The company is bound to be transparent about the money made on each harvest.
 I agree to have a person visit the installed unit and collect a progress report and monitor the unit
nutrient levels, weekly.

SWOT Analysis

Strength(s): Better utilization of water with least wastage and a significantly low fish mortality rate as
compared to conventional fish farming.

Weakness(es): Risk of disease spreading in the tank.

Opportunity/(ies): Better return on investment (ROI) as compared to the conventional fish farming.

Threat(s): Saturation in the fish farming in the coming future leading to a decrease in overall fish selling
price and eventually a reduction in profit made.
