This document provides an overview of the Carrier Transicold DataLINE software and its use in retrieving data from Micro-Link controllers and DataCORDERs. The DataLINE software runs on Windows PCs and allows extraction, display, reporting, and printing of retrieved data. Data can be retrieved from Micro-Link controllers and DataCORDERs using either a PC with the DataLINE software or a Carrier DataReader handheld device, and then printed or transferred to a PC. The document describes the DataLINE software package contents and notes that updates will be posted online. It also provides a brief introduction to the DataCORDER and its role in recording data for retrieval.

This manual contains information on the Carrier Transicold DataLINE Program and its interface with the DataCORDER. DataLINE Software is used to retrieve data stored in the Micro-Link 2/2i Controller and DataCORDER. Data retrieval can be accomplished with one of the following devices: 1. Stand-alone Windows 95, 98, 2000 or NT (4.0 or higher) personal computer (PC) with appropriate cable and soft- ware 2. Carrier DataReader hand held retriever (see Section 4) The retrieved data can then be printed from a PC in various report formats. From the DataReader, it can be transferred to a PC for storage on a floppy or hard disk. The DataLINE software for a portable computer is supplied on a CD and on 3.5 inch floppy disks (refer to Table 1-1). This software allows data extraction, display of the data, report generation, probe calibration, file management and printing. Table 1-1. DataLINE Software

Online help is available 1.2 DATACORDER The DataCORDER records and stores data. While this manual primarily addresses the interrogation of the Micro-Link 2/2i DataCORDER (see Figure 1-1 and Figure 1-2), interrogation can also be done on units with the Micro-Link 1 DataCORDER using the DataReader. Additional information on the DataCORDER may be found in the unit Operation and Service manuals.
