HR Department:

The civil aviation is a very competitive, safety-sensitive, technology service industry. People,
workers and customers, not product and machines are, should be stage of an organization’s core
competency. The implications are immense and pervasive moving no below the organization’s
structure, strategy, culture, and diverse operational activities. Human resource management
(HRM), the management of individuals inside the inner setting of organizations, includes the
activities, policies, and practices concerned in coming up with, obtaining, developing, utilizing,
evaluating, maintaining, and retentive the suitable numbers and skill mix of workers to realize
the organization’s objectives. Whereas associate degree extensive review of literature on HRM
within the aviation trade disclosed a considerable quantity of material on aviation scientific
discipline and human factors analysis, inquiry on HRM practices in the world civil aviation trade
seems to be nearly non-existent.

Air worthiness is measure of aircraft suitability for safe flight. Air worthiness can check all the
safety measure which can be performed at the airport. The work of the air worthiness is to check
the aircraft airworthiness certificate.

main purpose of ATC is to prevent the incidents and make the air traffic flow safe and secure.
ATC can provide services to all the aircrafts even they are of military, army, private and even
government. They give service to all of them. Within the tower, an extremely disciplined
communications method between air control and ground control is an absolute necessity. Air
control should make sure that ground control is attentive to any operations which will impact the
taxiways, and work with the approach radar controllers to make "gaps" within the arrival traffic
to allow taxiing traffic to cross runways and to allow departing aircraft to take off.
CHAPTER # 2

COMPETITIVE REVIEW OF THE COMPANY

Marketing Strategies:

CAA is the only company which gives services to the airlines in this marketing strategy the CAA
has no marketing strategies because there is no competitor of CAA. They are monopolistic in
business due to no competitor.

Major competitor of company:

There is no competitor of CAA. It is only one in the whole market which provides services to the
Airlines so the CAA has no competitor from when the Civil Aviation born they do a monopoly
business and work alone in the whole market.

Market Share of Company

The CAA has no market share by the law of government there is no market share of civil
aviation authority because they do a monopoly business and the companies which do
monopolistic business that’s mean that there is no competitor of that company and due to the
government the CAA has no market share .This is the only company which provide services to
the airlines. The Civil aviation is owned by government and they are working on international
standard so they never fail in the market.

Success and Failure of Company

The company will be fail due to the competitors but in this there is no

INTERN DEPARTMENT REVIEW

Division / department description/review

Division
I have worked in three departments of CAA during 6 weeks. The three department’s which give
me a lot of experience and confidence to work in a professional life .It is really a proud for me to
work there .The three departments in which I have work as a internee are :

1. ATC ( Air Traffic Controller)

2. Air worthiness
3. HR department ( Human Resource)

Department Description:
IT is all about the departments in which I have work in 6 weeks. IT department provide support
for any software and networking issue in different department .HR department for selection of
employees. ATC department for the traffic of air and ground on airport. AIR WORTHINESS is
for the checking of license of aircrafts. These are the department in which I have work and get a
best experience from them.
HR department (Human Resource):
The Human resource department is for selection, training, career planning and performance and
employees relation department of Civil Aviation Authority. They can hire full qualified workers
and give training to them in their training school which is located at Hyderabad. The HR director
put efforts to work on the International Standards for improving the system so that they can
easily meet the challenges. The CAA civil aviation authority can give internship in their
departments to the students for improving the skills and for the practical training and for
experience so they can get a higher chance in the field of aviation.

Air worthiness
Air worthiness is all about the measurement of the aircraft for the safe flight. The CAA
department will check the worthiness of aircraft that it is capable for flying or not. The main
control about airworthiness is found in ICAO worldwide standard of Annex 8 to Chicago
Convention on International Civil Aviation which characterizes airworthy. It is compulsory for
the airline to implement the CAA regulation because all the regulations of worthiness can be
sending by the ICAO.

ATC (Air Traffic Controller):

Air Traffic Department is a service provider department which gives services to the ground
traffic and airspace. The main purpose of ATC (Air Traffic Controller) is to prevent the
collisions and accidents and to organize and expedite the flow of the traffic on ground and
airspace. Many aircrafts have their safety system which gives additional safety by warning the
pilots when the other aircraft will come closer.

ATC provide the services to all the military, private and commercial aircraft operating in
airspace. The ATC gives instruction to the pilot and pilot want to obey on them direction, height.
In any emergency pilot take help from the ATC and it can help by giving the direction and tell to
maintain the height of aircraft for maintaining the safe operation.

ATC (Air Traffic Controller) use a system name secondary surveillance radar which display a
map of area, the position of the aircraft where it is .The aircraft identification, speed, altitude and
the other information will be described in local procedure.

INTERN JOB REVIEW
Description of the job nature
Description of the job nature for me is nothing as I was there to gain the knowledge they don’t
want to do their official work done by me or anyone else in some of the cases I performed some
task in HR and in ATC also. In ATC I’ll do the task to push back and taxi aircraft. I gave
instruction to pilot instruction are in the form of ATC calls. I filled a form of Air Traffic
information in the Preflight office. The preflight office, all of the necessary information like
route, medical certificates, and airworthiness certificates are attached with the airline flight plan
and then further It was inserted in the flight information system in computer and forwarded
directly to ATC Tower nationally and internationally.
CHAPTER # 5
Major Responsibilities Undertaken During internship

The one and the major responsibility which they gave to me is the aircraft push back and taxi the
craft. In all six weeks it is one and the major responsibility which they gave to me for the sake of
knowledge, learning and for the confident. The instructions which I gave to pilot are in the form
of ATC calls. This is the only one major responsibility which I have done during my internship
weeks.

Skills and Qualification acquired from internship:

While working in the CIVL AVAITION AUTHORITY as an intern was a vulnerable experience
as I figured out a lot of skills in me which I was slightly unaware of.

Working in the ATC department was difficult as it is responsible for working as control towers
at the airports and tracks the exact positions and provides the most efficient journey route. I
learned how to be dependable and reliable just to ensure that the passengers reach to their
destinations safely and securely.

Next department where I horned my skills was the HR department this was another tough thing
to do as I had to critically think about who could be a part of the civil aviation authority and who
can work with its hard work and positive and qualities.

The last department where I worked was the Air worthiness department, this department was not
about anything other than honesty this part of the job clearly needed an ethical standard and your
limitations.

Impact of Internship on future career path:

The impact of internship is beneficiary for us in future as it gives a lot of experience we gain a
lot of knowledge we learn how to gain opportunities from failure and it enhances your ability to
work in a different organization as well with the same experiences. It gives a very clear vision
towards your career.
Overall comparison between theory and practice

The comparison between theory and practice is that theory is the abstract and explanation of
something that is been expected it’s not in the form of application whereas; practice is the “use”
and “doing” of the abstract in reality.

Recommendation for the company:

A company is where different people work as employees. There are few recommendations that a
company should work on:

 It should give opportunities to students studying in different institutions

 They should offer them a permanent job in their organizations
 Advertisement of their organization

 Bonuses should be given on the work that has been done on time to interns

company. Following recommendation should be followed by various institutions:

 Internship opportunities should be given to students

 Practical work should be given to them

areas in order to gain ore knowledge.
