At the outset, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for considering our services
for the sourcing of professionals to work in your organization. I am pleased to forward our
Letter of Engagement for the recruitment of following position.
This strengthens our market position, enabling us to locate and place executive talent on a
truly global scales.
Our search & selection process starts with a thorough briefing and `brainstorming’ session
with our Client on the macro- and micro-elements of the organization and the position.
Based on the Job Brief and Client’s preference of specific industries / organizations, we will
conduct the necessary research.
Through an understanding of the requirements from the client and a systematic information
gathering method, we will subsequently identify potential candidates through the following
methodologies:
• Executive Search
• Executive File Search via database
Candidates with the best profiles will be invited for in-depth interviews with us where
possible. They will be assessed on communication and management skills, professional
experience, qualitative and quantitative achievements, and personality.
We will then prepare a profile of each shortlisted candidate outlining essential facts about the
candidates’ background and experience. These profiles will be presented to the Client for
further shortlisting.
When the client makes a hiring decision, Savvy Consultants will inform the candidates of the
client’s decision. We shall also assist the successful candidates and the client, to schedule
and complete their negotiations and agreement.
Savvy Consultants will not be charging any fee to the candidates nor will we accept any form
of gratuity from them.
We trust that the above is in accordance to your understanding. May we now bring your
attention to the following terms and conditions of business.
a) Savvy Consultants will endeavor to shortlist and present candidates for interview.
The client should inform Savvy Consultants the outcome of the interview(s) as
soon as possible.
b) Although Savvy Consultants will make every effort to screen, assess the skills
and conduct reference checks on each candidate, Savvy Consultants will not be
held responsible or be liable for any acts of dishonesty, negligence, misconduct
or misdeeds on the part of the selected candidate.
c) The client will become the employer of the selected candidate from the date that
is agreed between the client and the candidate. The client agrees to be
responsible for the fee stated in Clauses (4) of this Letter of engagement.
The Client will provide a full job description of the required position. The Client will
provide feedback to Savvy Consultants within 5 working days upon receipt of the
candidates’ profiles.
The Client will be responsible for the processing of the required working documents
and travel papers (if applicable) of the successfully placed candidate.
Savvy Consultants will require a copy of the signed Letter of Offer for documentation
and billing purposes.
3 CANDIDATE EXCLUSIVITY
This contract (Letter of engagement) shall be binding for a period of 12 months from
the date of referral of candidates by Savvy Consultants. If at any time therein, one of
these candidates is employed by the client in any position that the client deem the
candidate qualified for, or by one of the client’s subsidiaries, or any firm that the client
may refer the candidate to, then Savvy Consultant’s fee schedule will apply.
4 PLACEMENT FEE
Gross annual income includes 12 months’ salary and all confirmed bonuses / fixed
cash allowances.Applicable Value Added Tax charge will be added to the invoice.
6 TERMS OF PAYMENT
Invoices will be raised on appointment of candidate and should be settled within thirty
(30) days from that date in order for the guarantee service to apply.
7 GUARANTEE
Should a selected candidate voluntarily leave the job during the first 90 days, Savvy
Consultants will endeavor to provide a suitable replacement candidate at no additional
cost. This is subject to the client having settled our invoice according to the payment
terms stated above. Should we be unable to find a suitable replacement,50% of the
placement fee will be credited to future assignments within a 3-month period. In case
of no future assignment ,such 50% of the replacement fee will be credited to client.
Should the client not wish to pursue a replacement search for any corporate reasons
whatsoever, no credit will be entitled. It is pertinent that the client understands that Savvy
Consultants will not offer a replacement for any selected candidate who has been
terminated by the client within the first 90 days except for the case that employee is not
qualified to pass the probation period
8 VALIDITY OF CONTRACT
The terms listed in this Letter of Engagement are valid for 12 (twelve) months from
the date of submission of this proposal.
9 ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
Savvy Consultants will commence this recruitment exercise for the position detailed
at the beginning of this letter, upon receipt of a duly signed copy of the final page of
this Letter of Engagement by an authorized representative of the client company. It is
agreed by the client that all information about the candidate will be kept confidential
and such details will not be discussed or forwarded to parties other than those
involved in the selection process. This will also act as a written permission for Savvy
Consultants to reveal relevant non-confidential information about the client company
to our shortlisted candidates. However, in the event that the client company accepts
a candidate from Savvy Consultants for interview prior to sending the signed
agreement to Savvy Consultants, it will be deemed as full acceptance of Savvy
Consultants’ Terms of Business.
