WHY WE USE STAR-DELTA

To reduce inrush currrent when motor starts.

Motor Starts at Star and convert to delta at 75-80% of rated speed.
Inrush current > 5 x Full Load Current.
We reduce starting current by reducing starting voltage.
Star coil voltage is 58% of delta, lower voltage leads lower current, coil current is 33%
of delta.
start configuration torque 33% of delta.
Star VL=1.732xVP and IL=IP
Delta VL=VP adn IL=1.732xIP
six connection cables are need for motor terminal box.
TIMER
Timer nomrall consist of NC and NO operation. NC of star and NO for Delta.Electronic
timer count the time its coil energized and trip the circuit when the time exceed.
Timer fixed time 1.5:60 sec
also adjustable timeer available
Thermal Overload Relay:
Protect motor or other load from damage in the event of short circuit or being
overload and overheating.
Activate by heat cause by high current flowing
