1 System Description

Diode laser system can generate pulsing infrared light used for unexpected
hair removal and leg vascular therapy. Based on the solid diode laser
technology, the laser shows excellent pulse characteristics. Touch- screen
computer control, integrated skin Contact cooler and humane designed
interface ensure the treatment more convenient and safe.

Diode laser hair removal system is accomplished when destroying the hair
follicular unit by the thermal damage of laser fluence and thus inhibiting future
hair re-growth by the follicle.

The widely optional pulse duration (Max1500ms) of 808 diode laser system
can produce thermal damage in hair matrix stem cells and ensure follicular
destruction.

In order to minimize the uncomfortable of thermal damage to surrounding skin

cells, an efficient skin--cooling system is used to chill the skin before, during
and after the hair removal treatment.

Therefore, 808 diode lasers are more effective for hair removal in patients
even with dark skin.

The Diode laser system includes the following components: Main Console, Air
switch, Power line and treatment head connected to the main console by a
cord.

The laser beam generated by the semiconducting array of the treatment head
through the skin cooler sapphire. The Controller based on a microprocessor
monitor the entire system, detects the error and controls laser operation. The
operator can connect with the controller through the touch screen.

Same as all the other pulsed laser, the system generates a coherent pulsed
light with specific wavelength. The standard wavelength of the system is
808nm which is near infrared light located a little outside of the visible
spectrum. For the expected application in medical, the most important
specifications are as followings:
● Pulse Duration, expressed with Millisecond in the manual.
● Fluence expressed in Joules per square centimeter which is the total
amount of energy received by the fixed sized area of the skin. The
fluence is the most important parameter used to measure the exposure
does unit.
● The frequency (HZ) counted as the pulse repetition per second and the
peak power in watts (W).

The treatment head includes the following components:

● Diode laser array, which can produce the laser beam.
● Focus lens, which can produce the main shape of the spot
● The sapphire contact cooler.
● The power supply, controlling signal and cooler water connected with the
main console through the cord. During the treatment, the treatment head
should be placed on the skin, and press the emitting button on the
treatment head to generate the laser shooting. The treatment touches on
the skin directly can help the laser penetrating deeper to the skin. The tip
of treatment head is cooled which can reduce the blood supply in the
dermis and reduce the temperature of the skin.

2.1 Best wavelength for hair removal
808nm near-infrared laser is the best absorption to the melanin of the skin,
which can work to the hair follicle in different parts and depth of body to
achieve the effectively result of hair removal in different parts and depth of
body.

2. 2 Super long pulse duration

The pulse duration of hair removal system is from 5ms-1500ms adjustable,
which can be adjusted according to different hair to achieve the permanent
hair removal.

2.3 Suitable for all kind skin color without causing pigmentation.
With the technology of deeper penetration, the absorption of laser by the skin
will be reduced greatly to avoid pigmentation.

2.4 Sapphire contact cooling system makes the treatment more safe with
no harm to the skin.
Sapphire contact cooling system ensures no damage to the skin even with
highest energy during the treatment. Contact cooling system allows the patient
to be treated safely under the greater pressure. Reported data shows that this
pressure can increase the light energy to 30% -40%.

4 Indications and contra- indications

4.1 Indications
Diode laser system can generate pulsing infrared light used for unexpected
hair removal and leg vascular therapy. Treat all kind of hair color from black
hair to white hair. Treat all skin types from white to dark skin.

4.2 Contra- indications

For those who had received laser treatment but with side effect, the operator
should be carefully accept the treatment. In addition, those who are known as
physical scars skin property, including the damage caused by laser treatment,
more likely could leave scars.

In hair removal, the treatment of patients with the following relevant

contra-indications should pay more attention to:
【Scar history
【Susceptible to infection or the history of herpes in the treatment areas
【Accept the hair removal therapy by plucking methods within six weeks , such
as wax off
【 Hydroquinone or other bleaching agents used, the operator needs to know
whether the patient has a high sensitivity.
【Used within six months of anticoagulant
【Presence of additive flow to nourish capillaries varicose
【Have a personal or family history of melanoma
【Dysplastic nevi
【History with lived reticular
【History with erythematic
【Unable or unwilling to accept the treatment on schedule

6 Main consoles

● Main console, including main power supply, controlling system and water
cooling system
● Treatment head, including laser model and contact cooling system
● LCD screen, including operation program
● Emergency button, which can cut off the power when emergency happens.
● Key switch control power supply of the system. Insert the key and turn it to
“ON” to turn on the system. Turn the key to “OFF” to turn off the system.
● Power line, connected the main console to the power source.
● Foot switch, press to emit the laser beam.
● Back side of the system, including the following components: power socket,
over flow hole, Drainage hole, water filling hole and foot switch socket.

 Treatment head connector details

7 Installation

7.1 First time operation

● Open the original package, and take out the Main Console and the
accessories as followings: Treatment head, Water pipe, Filter, Foot switch,
Keys, Goggles and Protective glasses.
● Assembly the treatment head and connect to the main console.
● Connect the power line, Foot switch, key switch to the main console,
and release the Emergency button.
● Water use (Warning: De-ionized water is needed to avoid impurities
entering into the cooling system to cause the blocking in the refrigeration
wheel. The blocking can cause poor refrigeration cycle to damage the
laser module by overheating.)
● Water filling: Fill the water tank with De-ionized water through water filling
hole. When there is water out from overflow hole, The water tank has been
filled.
● Keep switch on and off the machine 3 times, and each time holding 3
minutes for water re-generating.

7.2 Daily operation and treatment procedure

● Connect the power line to the power source and turn on the system. (Note:
Firstly turn on the main power supply switch at the back side, and then turn
on the key switch.)
● Wait for 3 minutes to ensure the treatment head start to become cold.
● Clean the treatment area and shave the hair in the treatment area.
● Put the Cooling Gel onto skin and the thickness is 1-2mm.
● The operator must wear the protective glasses before the treatment.
● Press the Emitting button on the treatment head or the foot switch, then
the screen will into the interface for treatment parameter setting.

● Touch “Start” key on the screen, move the treatment head to the targeted
area. Press down the foot switches (keep pressing down) and press the
Emitting button on the treatment head. The laser will still output.

Skin test is necessary before the treatment.

8 Operation

Welcome interface is displayed after turning on the system (See Fig.1). Press
the emitting button on the treatment head, Beep sound will generated by the
system and the screen shows as following (Fig.2)

8.2.1 Cooling system
The Cooling set as six degree. 0 degree is no cooling, 5 degree is strongest
cooling. Fig.6 shows the difference of six degree.

8.2.2 Water Level

The water level shows the current status of water level.

8.2.3 Water temperature

Water temperature shows the current temperature of circulating water. When
temperature of the water is higher than the alarm settings, the value will
change to red accompanied by alert tone. The system can not enter into the
work status. If the system already in work status, the system will be forced to
exit the work status.

8.2.4 Back
Press it and the screen will return to function chosen interface.

8.2.5 Mode chosen

The system has single pulse mode and multi pulse mode. The chosen mode
will shows green with high light.
Under single pulse mode, the treatment head will shoot one pulse after each
press the emitting button. The pulsing time is set in the pulse duration. See
Fig.4. The pulse duration and fluence setting are as followings:

Under multi pulse mode, the treatment head will shoot continuously as setting
of frequency and pulse duration until release the emitting button. The pulse
duration, frequency and fluence setting as followings:

8.2.6 Parameter adjustment

Parameter adjustment includes fluence, pulse duration, and frequency (No
frequency adjustment under single pulse mode).

The adjustment methods: Click to adjust the parameter, and it changes to

white when selected, then click the right side of the "+"/"-" to complete
adjustment. Long press "+" or "-" to adjust continuously, but the fluence is not
continuous.

8.2.7 Start/ Stop

After parameter set, click “Start” to enter into work status. The “Start” changes
to “stop”, then system can start work. Press “Stop”, the system will back to
standby status.

8.3.1 Counter clearing

If the total number is not zero, click "counter reset" , the password box will pop
up. Enter the correct password to clear the totals. Password box is shown in
Fig.8.

 8.3.2 Temperature setting

Click temperature setting area，entering into setting interface(Fig. 9).Input a

two-digit number, then click “Enter" to complete setting, click "Exit"，return to
system setting.

8.3.3 System reset

Reset all parameters to factory default value, but the total number can not be
cleared to zero.

8.3.4 Water level and touch-tone

Pressing water level switch button can switch water level button, then click
buzzer button switch.

8.3.5 Password Settings

Click password settings button, enter into password setting interface. Shown
as Fig.10.

After input right password, you can input the password which needs

8.4 Screen calibration
Press any place except language selector button in language selection
interface until it buzzs(3 seconds) and then release.Then press again until it
buzzs (3 seconds) and then release.After 3 seconds, enter into touch
calibration interface.Note:Interval between 2 presses must not be too long.
After it buzzs 3 seconds for the second time ,it will enter into touch calibration
interface.
Calibration process is as follows:
● Top left corner shows a little white point or"+",use sharp object hit the white
point or"+center";
● Top right corner shows a little white point or"+",use sharp object hit the
white point or"+center";
● Lower right corner shows a little white point or"+",use sharp object hit the
white point or"+center";
When finished, it will return to language selection interface automatically.

9 Warning

1) The power requirement is AC 200 ~ 240V/50HZ.

2) Carefully reading this manual is necessary before the operation.
3) The system is laser apparatus. All the operation to the system must be
under authorization. The keys must be kept by the trained operator.
4) Isolated single room is need for safe operation.
5) De-ionized water is needed for the cooling system. Water needed changed
every one month.
6) The energy and parameter setting must start from lowest to high for new
patient. During the treatment, the operator needs to ask the feeling of
patient to avoid damage to the skin by overheat.
7) Keeping the touch screen dry is necessary for the safety of the equipment.
Alcohol is not allowed used when cleaning the main console and screen.
Unnecessary things not allowed put on the equipment
8) Cleaning the treatment area and shaving the hair is needed before the
treatment. 1-2 mm cooling gel need be painted on the treatment area for
skin protection the operator needs wear protective glasses and the patient
needs wear goggles.
9) Checking the cooling function of the treatment head before treatment is
always necessary for avoiding overheat damage caused by malfunction of
cooling circling.
10) Peoples who have Diabetes, heart disease, pregnant women, children
under age 18, scars sensitive skin and sensitive skin conditions are not
suitable to accept the treatment.
11) Skin redness and swelling after treatment is normal. Usually it takes 1
week to subside. No bathing and washing, No making up and using
cosmetics, No exposure to the sunshine and other strong light source in 1
week after the treatment.
12) Any abnormal situation, please press the emergency button.
13) Environment temperature is below 26°C.
14) Water in the water tank and treatment head must be drained before the
package and movement.
15) Storage temperature must beyond 0°C.

10 Maintenance and troubleshooting

10.1 Maintenance
10.1.1 Cleaning the unit
Clean the system exterior at least once a week. Wipe all surfaces with soft,
damp, non-abrasive cloth. Mild cleansing solution may be used. Not spill
liquids in the unit.

10.1.2 Cleaning the light guide

The light guide should be kept clean at all times and should be cleaned after
each patient.
To clean the light guide, first dry it with a lint-free cloth. Then clean it with a
cloth moistened with water-free alcohol and let it dry thoroughly.

10.2 Trouble shooting

12 Warranty

Strict examination presents with all products before sale.

One-year guarantee of service without payment from the date of purchasing is

authorized to clients. During the guarantee period, a malfunction due to the
quality of machine shall be responsible by manufacturer.

The standard of operating and environment (operating and storage) must

comply with the specifications.

Malfunctions caused by following reasons are out of guarantee service:

A. Malfunctions caused by incorrect operation
B. Malfunctions caused by unauthorized transferring, dismantling and collision
C. Malfunctions caused by force majeure.
