- English for academic purposes (EAP). Commonly use English for study.

- While general English used to achieve high standard of every day

communication skills.

b) What is special about EAP?

- EAP uses the same every day words but with little difference.

c) What are the features of EAP?

- More complex - Objective

- More formal - Responsible for

- Facts - Well organised

- Explicit - well planned

- Hedging

d) How can I learn academic English?

- Don’t make a list of words

- Study words by: listening, speaking, reading and writing

- Write example sentences
