4 Requirements

4.1 Material
The circuit plate shall be made from textile-glass reinforced plastics. Bolt, nut and
washer shall be made from steel of good quality in accordance with ISO 898 series.

4.2 Design requirements

(a) The size of circuit plate shall meet the requirements of Table 1 and Figure 1 of this
specification. Circuit plate shall be consisted of a plate and four bolts, nuts and
washers for I and II respectively. At the four corners of plate, holes of 14mm shall be
punched for fixing the bolts.
(b) Bolts size shall be a M12 × 40mm having a suitable thread length in order to fix on
the tower. All bolts, nuts and washers shall be hot-dip galvanized in accordance with
ISO 1460 after threading and mean coating mass shall be not less than 395g/m2 in
accordance with ISO 1461. The total quantity of bolts, nuts and washers shall be
added 3% to the quantity to be supplied.
(c) The edges shall be smooth not to be harmful to human whilst handling. The plate shall
be externally fine and there is no crack, exfoliation, strain, damage and bend.
(d) Symbol and character shall be silk printed on plastics as indicated in clause 5.1 of this
specification.
(e) The surface treatment of plate shall be carried out by the glossy coating on the whole
after silk printing.
(f) Dimensional tolerance in which the tolerance is not specified shall be ±0.7mm for up
to and including 35mm in dimension and over 35mm, ±2%.

5 Tests

5.1 Sampling
Test specimens shall be selected at random from each inspection lot (or articles) in
accordance with ISO 2859-1. The number of samples selected from each lot shall comply
with Table 2 of this specification.
Table 2 - Number of test samples
Lot size Sample size Lot size Sample size

5.2 Sample tests
(a) Visual inspection & measurement of dimensions (By this specification); All plates
shall be subjected to visual inspection. Visual inspection shall cover the size, material
and other requirements specified in this specification.
(b) Hot-dip galvanizing test (ISO 1460 and 1461): Hot-dip galvanizing test can be
omitted by a presentation of the test results to mean coating mass according to
agreement between GECOL and manufacturer.

6 Marking
The circuit plate shall have “I” or “II” letter of 150mm that represents each circuit.
Colors of plate and letters shall meet the requirements of Table 3 of this specification.
The fonts of letter shall be “Bold Arial” or shall be followed in agreement between
GECOL and manufacturer.

I Yellow Blue
II Blue Yellow

7 Packing and Delivery

The circuit plates shall be packed by set in corrugated cardboard packing with
waterproofing.
A set shall consist of two plates (I and II), and eight bolts, nuts and washers.
The supplier shall provide packing of the plates as is required to prevent their damage or
deterioration during transit to their final destination and long period of storage, as indicated
in the contract. The packing shall be sufficient to withstand, without limitation, rough
handling during transit and exposure to extreme temperatures, salt and precipitation during
transit and storage.
A label shall be attached on each packing with following information.
(a) Kinds
(b) Quantity of package
(c) Manufactured year
(d) Name of manufacturer
(e) Name of the procuring department
(f) Gross weight
(g) Any special handling instructions

5/8
8 Document and certificate
The circuit plate quoted by the supplier shall be approved by GECOL. The quantity of
document and certificates submitted shall be not less than three copies. The circuit plate
shall conform to the latest edition of applicable standards including clause 2 of this
specification or any other equivalent international standards. The design and construction
of circuit plate shall be subjected to the approval of GECOL.
