GUIDELINES ON THE CONDUCT OF INTERVIEW AND DEMONSTRATION FOR THE TEACHER I

APPLICANTS AMIDST COVID-19 PANDEMIC

General Procedure:

Before the Interview/Demo

1. The Division shall release an online interview registration and confirmation data gathering form
to gather collect applicants’ information about the applicants which shall be used in processing
and scheduling in the actual onlinevirtual interview
2. Applicants to be interviewed shall confirm by registering through an online applicants’
registration form link provided.
3. Applicants shall be asked to upload into the registration link a recorded demonstration video in
MP4 format with a maximum of 1 Gigabyte (1GB) file size and ensure that the file is playable
4. After the registration, the participants shall be segregated by the secretariat based on their
category classification (i.e. Elementary, Junior High or Senior High) and provided to the
concerned group of committees
5. Each committee members shall acquire a copy of lists of their interviewees for the day (if not yet
provided) in hardcopy or electronic form.
6. A memo on schedule of daily interview and demo shall be posted, enclosed with the list of
applicants with their specific schedule and sequence of interview and demo
7. The Each interviewer/panel/committee facilitator/moderator shall start a specific meeting 1
hour before the actual interview session (interview and Demo) session using Google Meet to to
give ample time in inviting the members of the committee and may provide TA to members
before the session begins.create a link to be sent to the interviewee using Google Meet by a
facilitator/moderator of the meeting
8. Beforeore the each interview, the link/s created shall be sent to each applicant one at a time
when it is already his/her turn to be interviewed
9. The moderator/facilitator shall ensure the availability of the interviewee for the continuous
smooth flow of the activitythe virtual interview
10. Since the interviewee is considered outside the DepEd group, the committee facilitator/
moderator shall be asked to immediately accept the interviewee in the meeting when a
message appears and ensure that only one applicant has joined the meeting unless multiple
applicants has been allowed for a simultaneous interview by the committee for a valid reason.

During the interview/Demo

1. The moderator/facilitator shall ensure the stability of the internet connection of interview
administration staff
2. When the interviewee receivesd a link from the facilitator/moderator either thru email (gmail)
or FB messenger he/she will be given a maximum of 3 minutes to be able to connect by clicking
the link based on the sequence in the list of interviewees.
3. If the interviewee applicant is already connected, the interview shall start immediately to
maximize the time limit allocated for each intervieweehim/her.
4. After the interview, he/she will be provided with another link for the demonstration and asked
to wait for link which shall be provided and sent by the demo facilitator/moderator to the
applicant.
5. When the interviewee received a link for the demonstration, he/she will immediately proceed
and connect by clicking the demo link.
6. When connected, the applicant now shall ask the panel a permission to start the demo.
7. Any applicant’s attempt to connect to the meeting when it is not his/her turn yet shall be
disallowed, or if already connected the facilitator has the right to disconnect the applicant and
inform him/her that it is not yet his/her turn to implement a fair interview.

After the Interview/Demo

1. After the interview session, the panelists shall be given a link for the video teaching
demonstration submitted by the applicants
2. After the interview the panelists shall send the score/points of each specific interviewee to the
secretariat
3. The score/points of each applicant shall be sent thru email by the secretariat after the interview
and demo or when the computation of results is already done.
4. The lists of passers and ranking of applicants shall be posted in the strategic location of the
Division or in any place approved by the PSB
5. Applicants may send comments, suggestions, concerns on the conduct of the interview thru the

What the applicants should do and prepare:

1. Acquire own gmail (https://mail.google.com) account (google mail) withand optional FB


messenger account (optional) in real name the same with what is in your PDS to identify you as
the aApplicant.
2. Record a maximum of 10 minutes video presentation of your Demonstration Teaching in MP4
format and name it after your name (applicant’s name) (example: demo_juandelacruz.mp4)
3. Create/Edit in a Word Editor (MS Word, PowerPoint, etc.) your Lesson Plan and save it as PDF
format and name the document after you (Example: LP_juandelacruz.pdf)
4. Register in the Virtual Interview Registration to confirm your attendance and upload your demo
recording in mp4 with Lesson Plan in PDF formats (registration link:
https://bit.ly/esamarApplyReg). If the files are not yet available, the applicant can edit the
registration and upload the files anytime before the interview.
5. Prepare your device to be used during the interview and demonstration (i.e. Smartphone, Tablet
PC, Laptop or Desktop with Camera) it is recommended to keep your GMAIL signed-in in the
device you will be using
6. Make sure the Camera and Microphone of the device are functional by testing them with your
audio/speaker and can be heard clearly and loudly the day before your interview.
7. Check the availability of the device’s charger and ensure that the battery .has enough power
8. Look for a quiet and well lighted place where you can go onlineonline, and the internet is stable
(4G/LTE signal) and avoid any disruption which may interrupt you and the panelist
9. Acquire own gmail account (google mail) with optional messenger account in real name the
same with what is in your PDS to identify you as the Applicant.
10. Register in the Online Interview and Demonstration Registration to confirm your attendance of
the Online Interview
11. Determine the actual date and time of the Online virtual iInterview based on the schedule
released by the Division Office
12. Prepare yourself and dress up properly, or with your Sunday’s best is recommended
13. You shall receive first the interview link thru email or messenger when it is already your turn
14. You shall be given a maximum of Three (3) minutes to be able to connect to the link provided,
otherwise the Administrator may proceed to the next interviewee until you are given another
time slot or until you are ready within the day
15. Any disconnection/disruption/signal interference of internet connection from your side might
affect the audio/sound voice heard by the panelist, so make sure to follow the Netiquette
properly
16. After the interview, the link for the demonstration shall be sent to you
17. You shall be advised to drop the call when the interviewers are done or when they say soith
their go signal
18. During the interview, make sure the panelists can see at least the your half-upper of your body
and can hear your voice clearly
19. You shall be asked to present and share your Lesson Plan anytime during the interview, so be
ready. If ever the applicant is asked to present any document (LP) he/she may confirm by asking
the moderator of the virtual session if the presentation is visible to panelists upon sharing.
20. During the demonstration, when presenting thru a computer, make sure that the presentation
can be seen by the panelists. In presenting the actual chalk and board, make sure that the
whole board being used is covered by the device’s screen as well as yourself, and the panelists
can see you and hear your voice (use a wireless/long-wired headset if any).
21. The result/scores/points of your interview and demo shall be sent to your email by the
committee secretariat when calculation is done, so check your mail from time to time.

Responsibilities of Facilitator/Moderator of the Online Virtual Interview/Demonstration

1. The Facilitator/Moderator shall make sure to have a hardcopy and electronic copy of the
sequential list and daily schedule of Applicants with their names, email addresses and FB
messenger account names
2. The Moderator shall see to it that the Applicants are informed in advance thru the school heads
and district supervisor concerned on the schedule of the interview and demo
3. Using the DepEd Email, the moderator shall start the meeting at least 30 minutes before the
actual start of the interview to give ample time in inviting the Interviewers and panelists while
playing and sharing the Netiquette Video to the meeting.
4. It is highly recommended that the Facilitator/Moderator is knowledgeable in browsing the
computer with several applications opened simultaneously for multitasking (Google Mail, Lists
of Applicants in Excel, the FB Messenger, and the Google Meet window).
5. Before the start of the actual interview and demonstration, recording of the session is highly
advised for the purposes of keeping minutes of meeting and, review and validation of the
interview and demo
6. All the recordings in MP4 format received thru the moderator’s account shall be forwarded to
the PSB Chair’s email for the purposes of review and as minutes of meetingsing it.
7. The moderator shall ensure the process smooth flow and continuity without delay by sending
the link/s to the Applicants in real time (3 minutes before the interview).
8. Moderator/Facilitator of the interview shall attend the whole duration of the meeting since it is
his/her account that is being used as the main platform.

Responsibilities of Members of the PSB Committee / Panelists

1. Acquire a list of Applicants to be interviewed for the day


2. Look for a quiet and well lighted place where you can go online, and the internet is stable
(4G/LTE signal) and avoid any disruption or noisy environment
3. Coordinate with the Secretariat and Session Moderator for the results/scores/points for
recording
4. Coordinate with the Session Moderator for the sequencing of Applicants and for the
Demonstration Teaching video review

Responsibility of the Secretariat

1. Recording of Applicants’ score/points
