Tema pentru semestrul I – decembrie 2004

I. Ana il vede pe Paul imbracandu-si haina si spune:

- Unde mergi, Paul?
Paul: Merg sa cumpar niste tigari. Nu vrei un ziar de seara?
Ana: Nu, multumesc. Tu intotdeauna cumperi tigari, Paul.

Ana is seeing Paul putting on his coat and she’s saying:

- Where are you going, Paul?
Paul: I’m going to buy some cigars. Do you want an evening paper?
Ana: No, thank you. You always buy cigars, Paul. How many you smoke daily?
Paul: I don’t smoke a lot, maybe twenty, because Jack, my friend, smoke many
then I. He spends five pound each week for cigars.

II. Mary il vede pe Peter stand in statia de autobuz.

Mary: Buna, Peter! Ce autobuz astepti?
Peter: Buna, Mary.
biroul meu in drumul lui spre fabrica. Dar saptamana aceasta el munceste intr-o fabrica in

Mary is seeing Peter sitting on the bus station.

Mary: Hello, Peter! What bus are you waiting for?
Peter: Hello, Marry! I’m waiting a nine or a fourteen.
Mary: I are going usually at work by car, isn’t so?
Peter: Yes, but the car belongs to my mother and she uses it sometimes. She is using it
today for lead Peter to the dentist.
Mary: I also go as usually by car, because Jack take my, since he passes near my office in
his way to the factory. But this week he works in a factory in the opposite direction, so
I’m waiting the bus, like you!
Peter: Here is a nine! Are you getting up or waiting a fourteen?
Mary: I think that I will take this nine, because if I’ll wait a fourteen, it is possible to be in
delay for the office and if I’ll late, my boss will be angry.

III. Mary si Ana asteapta in fata unei cabine telefonice. In interiorul cabinei, un baiat

Many and Ana are waiting in front of a phone booth. In the phone booth, a boy dials a
number.
Mary: Do you know this boy?
Ana: Yes, he is a friend of my brother. He phones to his girlfriend every day, from this
phone booth.
Mary: Whence he comes?
Ana: He comes from Japan. He is a very smart boy, he speaks four foreign languages.
Mary: I wonder what he’s speaking now.
Ana: Well, also his girlfriend comes from Japan, so I suppose that he speaks Japanese.
