1. Describe what you remember about WW1 from last semester?

Answer goes here. World War I was fought between the Allied Powers and the Central Powers. The main
members of the Allied Powers were France, Russia, and Britain. The United States also fought on the side of
the Allies after 1917. The main members of the Central Powers were Germany, Austria-Hungary, the Ottoman
Empire, and Bulgaria.

3. When did the war begin and when did it end?

The years 1919-24 were marked by turmoil as Europe struggled to recover from the devastation of the First
World War and the destabilizing effects of the loss of four large historic empires: the German Empire, Austro-
Hungarian Empire, Russian Empire, and the Ottoman Empire.
