Client Service Outline

I am committed to protecting your interests and helping you meet your financial goals. To do this,
I would like you and I to outline the following:

What You Can Expect From Me

Comprehensive Financial Plan Together, we will develop a Comprehensive Financial Plan to


help you achieve your long-term financial goals. As part of this plan, we will cover the
investment, insurance, tax, estate, retirement and debt management planning aspects of your
situation.

Personal Risk Profile We will work together to determine your risk profile, and will take this into
consideration when we structure your investment portfolio aimed at achieving long-term growth
with undue risk.

Access to Specialists As your situation requires, I will facilitate access to other specialists that
include Insurance Planning, Estate Planning, Investment Planning, Accountants and Lawyers
whose skills I comfortably endorse.

Tax-Saving Opportunities For most clients, tax planning and minimization are key components
of the financial plan. As part of your overall plan, strategies such as RRSP planning, income
splitting and family trusts will be evaluated.

Ongoing Attention On an ongoing basis, your plan will be reviewed (at least annually) and
appropriate adjustments made to address any life changes. I strongly suggest that we meet
face-to-face at least once per year.

Complete & Regular Reporting Within 10 days of each transaction you will receive a trade
confirmation. Every six months you will receive a summary of your portfolio. Each statement is
designed to be as clear as possible. I will review the format of the summary with you to ensure
that you understand the summary and the information it contains.

Direct Contact I make myself as accessible to clients as possible. All telephone calls and
emails are returned as soon as possible (usually within the same day).

Professional Ethics I wish to disclose that I abide by the following Code of Conduct of
Professional Ethics. I act in the best interests of my clients, placing client’s interests first always.
I hold in strict confidence all confidential information acquired in the course of my professional
relationship with my clients. I will disclose all sources of compensation relative to
recommendations made and services performed. I will act in a conscientious, timely, and
trustworthy manner, and provide advice only on matters within my competence. I will make every
effort to provide objective and impartial information to clients regarding their financial needs,
advising them of their options and describing both negative and positive aspects of any
recommendation. I will exercise due diligence always.
Compensation
I am compensated primarily by commissions paid on any investments you might make into
products distributed by Industrial Alliance Financial Services Inc. and other related companies.
The details of transactions that will result in compensation to me are:
 For investments in segregated funds having a redemption fee commissions are calculated
based on the amount you invest If units are transferred from one fund to another, please
refer to the prospectus for the particular fund to determine if any commission is payable.
 For investments in segregated funds that do not have a redemption fee, no commission is
paid. However, if units in these funds are transferred to funds that have a redemption fee, a
commission is paid based on the amount of the transfer.
 I earn a monthly bonus calculated based on the value of your fund assets invested through
Industrial Alliance Financial Services Inc.
 For investments in Guaranteed Investment Certificates, commissions are calculated based on
the amount you invest.
 For mortgages, compensation may be in the form of a referral fee.
 For banking products, compensation may be in the form of an account opening fee, or a
commission that is calculated based on the balance of your account each month.
 For insurance, I earn a commission based on the type of policy you choose and the amount
of premium required.
 In some cases, my action plan may include a recommendation that you consult with a lawyer,
accountant or other professional in order to obtain legal or other services which are
necessary or desirable in order to implement the action plan. You would be responsible for
fees charged by these other professionals when you use their services. I would receive no
referral fees from these other professionals.

What I Require From You


Reasonable Financial Disclosure I can only develop a sound financial plan for my clients
when we work together. To ensure that we develop the best possible plan, it is imperative that
you feel comfortable disclosing all aspects of your financial situation.

Open Communication If and when your financial situation or risk tolerance changes, as it
inevitably will over time, let me know immediately so that I can update your financial plan
accordingly and make any necessary recommendations and/or changes.

Interest & Eagerness I will be extremely familiar with any financial tools and strategies that may
be of benefit to you, and will recommend those of value. I encourage you to ask me any
questions you have so that you are always comfortable with the direction we are heading in as it
relates to your financial plan and our relationship.
