 The livestock and agriculture sectors are important aspects other than fisheries in the scope of
the agro-complex sector whose development also determines the level of people's welfare and
fluctuations in food security. Agricultural and livestock products are one aspect of meeting food needs,
which have become a basic need for all humans. Moreover, the population booming. From here it
demands a rapid development in terms of efforts to meet nutritional adequacy and food needs. So that
efforts to increase the production of the agricultural and livestock sector are by involving technology.
And in fulfilling the modernization needs of the livestock and agriculture sectors, we must also be able
to keep up with technological developments, so we must develop the agriculture and livestock sector so
that the next five years can be better and of course able to meet food needs and improve the quality of
the agricultural and livestock sector in Indonesia, especially in Banyuwangi. (Sugeng,2020)

Here are some of the possible livestock and agricultural trends:

One of the future challenges in the livestock sector is poultry farming, which must be managed
in a modern and professional manner. Modern management in question is about how to increase
productivity in producing products in accordance with market needs and desires. Meanwhile,
professional management is an activity that refers to the use of science and technology in processing
raw materials into product sources desired by the market. (Dwiyanto,2009)

Because it is closely related to the application of technology with all its consequences, the
modern livestock and agriculture industry in Banyuwangi must be managed by human resources who
have expertise in their respective fields.(isti,2020)

Modern livestock and agriculture industries in the next few years will be driven by professionals.
They will be mostly located in rural areas whose areas are suitable for livestock or agricultural
cultivation, because in agricultural cultivation and animal husbandry they are more freely developed in
rural areas. Modernization by experts in the field of animal husbandry and agriculture in rural areas will
be a refresher for the villages, as well as a driving force for the economy in Indonesia, especially in
Banyuwangi. Modernization of agricultural and livestock cultivation in rural areas can also control the
urbanization of experts from rural areas to continue working in their respective hometowns. It can also
be a magnet for young people who have migrated to cities to return to their villages. So that the villages
that are left behind will be more advanced and can also open jobs for the community. (Yusmihac,2020)

However, with the development of modernization in the agricultural and livestock sectors, this
cannot be separated from the waste produced by the livestock and agricultural industries, so we must
also be able to use the waste products to become goods that are worth selling. With the development of
technology, it is also easier for us to market the work made from this waste. (Dimas,2020)

Due to the increasing number of exhibitions and festivals as well as hobbies, the livestock sector
can develop ornamental livestock, which focuses on the uniqueness and beauty of livestock. This also
plays a very important role in developing the economy, because the selling price of ornamental livestock
is more expensive than other livestock products, such as meat, milk and eggs. Likewise with the
agricultural sector which is now also flourishing to cultivate ornamental plants with high selling value.

 From the agricultural sector, one of the disturbances that have not been resolved until now is
pests, so the role of the government to overcome this is also very much needed. In addition, the
problem that occurs in the agricultural and livestock sector is the availability of land that is getting
smaller because of the population boom so that land that should be used for the agricultural sector
becomes a housing complex. (Nunuk,2018)
