LEADING THROUGH
INNOVATION
Leading the evolution of Sri Lanka’s construction industry, INSEE Cement continues to set benchmarks with a
portfolio of superior, first-of-its-kind cement products, meeting the growing demand for sustainable construction
across the country. Our mastery of innovative blended cements such as SANSTHA, MAHAWELI MARINE PLUS,
RAPID FLOW PLUS and EXTRA is why some of Sri Lanka’s most iconic constructions such as the Southern
Expressway, the Lotus Tower, the Kalladi Bridge and Altaire Residencies carry the INSEE Cement name.

Now, to further advance our solutions and meet the rapid pace of our country’s development, INSEE Cement is proud
to present the INSEE i 2 i Collaboration Space, a dedicated center of excellence for open collaboration and innovation,
elevating Sri Lanka’s construction industry to global standards. With some of the most daring and brilliant minds in Research &
Development from Sri Lanka and around the world , the facility houses over 50 state-of-the-art tools and equipment, and is backed by ultra
modern technology to enable the sustainable, rapid progress of the local construction landscape.

Welcome to the future of innovation.

Durability Space
The durability of concrete can be defined as its ability to resist chemical reactions as well as harsh weather conditions in any terrain, while
maintaining its desired engineering properties. Concrete deterioration could take place due to:
• Exposure to elemental conditions:
1. Steel corrosion through chloride ingress or carbonation
2. High permeability and ingress of harmful elements
• Sulphate attacks

The Durability Space at i 2 i offers a wide range of tests to gauge the durability of your concrete mixture samples, enabling your constructions to
achieve their optimum structural performance.

Chemistry & Rheology Space

We also facilitate a range of tests to assess properties of fresh concrete, mortar and paste such as workability, pumpability, segregation, slump
retention, admixture compatibility, etc.

Hardened concrete properties such as heat of hydration, heat prediction in mass pouring, initial and final concrete setting time, early
strength can also be assessed using the ultra-modern lab equipment available at the i 2 i Collaboration Space. Such tests ensure consistency of
concrete and mortar performance and strengthen positive brand perception in the market.
