Pant, Gill and Pujara ensured Australia lost their first Test at the Gabba since 1988.
Not many gave India a chance to win in Brisbane. Two debutants - Washington Sundar and
T Natarajan - played key roles, Shardul Thakur, playing his second Test, kept India in the
game with his batting, Mohammed Siraj picked up his maiden five-wicket haul. Shubman Gill
showed he belongs and Rishabh Pant helped India clinch the series 2-1. The will hold on to
the Border-Gavaskar Trophy with their second Test series win in Australia.

Australia played their full-strength squad. There were Steve Smith and David Warner. The
hosts had first-choice bowling line-up with Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins
and Nathan Lyon playing all four Tests. They were, however, no match to the defiant and
brave young India.

This is young India at work. Give them a stage and move out. Our generation thinks: don't
lose. This one inhabits a different world. They see victory, opportunity.

This is no longer a statement from Shubman Gill. It’s a declaration. He’s no longer the next
big thing. He’s The Big Thing #AUSvIND
