Prevent Fluid Dumping from
Reservoir to Thief Zone

Objectives
• Establish a mechanical barrier to drastically reduce the risk
of communication between a high-pressure productive zone
and a depleted low-pressure, lost-circulation zone. The
resulting barrier would significantly reduce the possibility of
a blowout from gas migration to the surface through a
channel in the cement column.
