Examines the process of oral communication and the various forms of speech arts
from public speaking and group discussions to debate, oral interpretation and
dramatics.

COURSE OBJECTIVES : At the end of the semester, the students are expected
to:
1. Identify and explain the elements and levels of communication.
2. Define speech and explain the reasons for studying speech.
3. Reflect on the role of self –concept on self- image in communication.
4. Explain the unique features of group communication.
5. Interpret orally selected literary pieces
6. Deliver a speech before an audience; and
7. Stage a short play before an audience
