Outline:
 Presentation video on trees to be watched before classroom session.
 An activity to be done during classroom session.

Before Classroom Session:

The video presentation explains the main parts of the tree which are: the leaves, the trunk, the
branches, the roots, the flowers and fruits.
Also the video mentions what are the benefits of trees and how trees help us and the
environment.

 Trees give us oxygen to breathe.

 Trees absorb carbon dioxide.
 Trees reduces pollution.
 Trees reduces erosion, it stabilizes the soil.
 Trees provide shelter for many mammals and birds.
Finally, the video shows the lifecycle of the tree which begins with a seed, the seed germinates
to sprout, then to seedling which grows to become a mature tree that produces flowers and
fruits and then the fruits reproduce seeds that again and again the seed becomes a mature
tree.

During Classroom Session:

I will prepare flash cards that contain the names of the parts of the tree, and bring with me to
the class a small or short tree with its roots and ask the students to hang the card to the
correspondent part of the tree.
Also I will ask the students individually to write one benefit of the tree on a card and stick it on
the wall.
