Reflection on a Lesson Plan Taught

1. What steps did you go through to create this lesson? With whom did you talk, discuss, or edit your lesson?

Mrs. Callis helped me plan this lesson. When creating this lesson she suggested this topic due to her not having
enough time to teach it while they were in the plants unit. Once we planned it, she then helped me edit it too.

2. What parts of the instructional plan worked as you anticipated?

The students were good listeners, engaged, participated, and answered questions while I was presenting. One I
explained a concept most of them were able to grasp understanding of it.

3. What, if any, adjustments needed to be made once you began?

No adjustments were made except printing a few more worksheets.

4. How well did you anticipate the materials needed? Did you realize you needed more or less as you taught
your lesson?

We printed out the show what you know worksheets right before during lunch but didn’t realize the printer ran
out of paper. While I was passing out the worksheets were realized it didn’t print enough so Mrs. Callus quickly
printed a few more copies and all was well.

5. To what degree do you feel that this lesson was a success? What evidence do you have for the success of
the lesson? (Hint: Student learning is the key to a lesson’s success!)

This lesson was very successful because the proof was in the closure assessment. The students did very well on
their show what you know worksheets.

6. If you could do this lesson again with the same students, would you do anything differently? If so, what?
I would read some of the slides together out loud as a class so they can also practice reading.

7. Any last comments/reflections about your lesson?

I was very impressed with the students during this lesson
