Theoretical perspective on culture

The article simply discusses the kinds of major theoretical approaches towards the
interpretation of culture. It also defines what does culture means and how it affects the
society in different ways. As culture comprise all of the practices and beliefs and
behaviors of the society. Three major theoretical approaches of cultural interpretation
are the following.

The 1st one is functionalist theory this theory is more likely discuss on the value and
educational capacity of the society and cultural values that guides the society to make a
choices. It is believe that the educational value is the most important thing that United
State is having into the culture, because being educated can help you in climbing up to
your career or ambitions.

The 2nd theory is conflict theories this were diversity , gender equality occurs, the
classes of peoples life in the society this theory shows that some of the people in the
community benefits from this kind of cycle while others don’t .this theory is showing how
it reinforce issues of Privilege to a certain groups of the society . as woman are having
an hard time how can they can prove their standing in society as male-male dominated
it. Elderly who is struggling to give protection to their own health care and rights.

The 3rd theory is symbolic interactionism the basis of this one is on how people that are
inside in one community interact. It is sociological perspective kind of approach. It is on
how one individual interprets each other point of view. As each object and action has a
symbolic meaning. One of the ways on how a society expresses their thoughts and how
they interpret things is through language and some do believe in symbolic
interactionism perspective culture.
 We’ve come too far in developing each culture before getting into this. Some of it
develops and some stays the way it was designed. But the most important thing of
having differences in culture and beliefs is respecting it. Enable for us to be accepted in
one society and another. These three theories might be different on how they approach
things about culture yet it is clear that it help our society in understanding each other.
