A STUDY OF JOB EVALUATION-POINT FACTOR ANALYSIS

This study gives insight on how important and uses of job evaluation in a company. The

main goal of job evaluation is to provide a systematic and consistent approach to

defining the relative worth of jobs within a workplace.it is basically a process wherein

jobs are being identify in rank according to its overall demands depends on the difficulty

of the job. Therefore it rises up awareness in giving a fair and orderly grading structure.

There are several reasons why job evaluation is being introduce.it helps to compare

duties, responsibilities and demands to other job. It determines the grades of different

jobs. Job evaluation also gives advantages such as. Reduce inequalities salary culture.

It helps out in breaking down a righteous candidate for a specific job, gives a strong

relationship between employees and manager. Point method is just one of the method

this method follows step by step procedures. This method consists of 9 steps. Select

jobs to be evaluated ,input job information, select compensable factors, define

compensable factors, define factor degree, determine total points in plan and weight

compensable factors, assign points to degree within factors or sub-factors, evaluate key

jobs if know, write the job evaluation. It is simply being systematic could help everybody

not only small and big companies but also it can be applied in our daily and regular

routine.
