Rationale: This course aims to provide a strong foundation for students to provide practical,
hands-on exposure to the concepts conveyed in theoretical lectures on modern computer
system architecture and organization and to apply these insights and principles to future
computer designs. The course is structured around the primary building blocks of general-
purpose computing systems focusing on the processing systems.
Outcomes:
CO1: Apply knowledge of computing and logic appropriate to computer organization and
architecture.
CO2: Identify, formulate, and develop solutions to computational architectural challenges.
CO3: Design, implement, and evaluate a computational system to meet desired needs within
realistic constraints.
