In march I will see my reword.

Woah, I got accepted

I guess all that negativity has me a ected.

Now I have a college to go to.

I can yell my woos.

Closing the outdated furniture catalog book, I nished creating an e-commerce website for my
dad’s warehouse, transitioning the business online. Through managing sales logistics for the
website, I was intrigued by the complexities of running a small business: inventory, supply and
demand, and competition. I was fascinated by how di erent economic conditions in uenced our
everyday transactions — and I started thinking of creative solutions that can be employed in our
business model to ensure pro t and longevity through an unprecedented pandemic. Another one of
my passions is computer science. As the pandemic forces our family business to move online, I
wish to replicate the in-person shopping experience through augmented reality to simulate 3D
visuals for our furniture products. At NYU’s College of Arts and Sciences, I believe the joint major in
economics and computer science will not only ful ll my interests in both elds but also help me
build a strong foundational knowledge to run a successful business. I believe NYU would be a great
environment for me to build an interdisciplinary curriculum tailored to my needs.

Addendum: NYU is the school I Ed2 to. While I think there is a really slim chance of me making it.
Trying is what it matters. This is my intro to my NYU personal essay, going back to my families
business and my love for economics.

Dear Mr. Richard,

My name is Jia Jun Tang, and I’m writing regarding my admission to Boston
University. Although my application for Early Decision has been deferred, I would like
to thank the admissions department for taking the time to reevaluate my application.
BU remains as my top choice university. I love BU's diversity and exible curriculum,
and the vast career opportunities due to the campus’ location in the heart of Boston. I
am writing to keep you up to date with my activities.

This year, I am taking AP classes including AP Micro and Macro Economics and AP
Physics not only to challenge myself but also to prepare for college-level courses.
During the pandemic, I balanced my academics along with supporting my family’s
furniture business. From managing the website to facilitating the pick-up orders, I
learned more about how to handle e-commerce orders and customer service
remotely. I also initiated the next step for our business: emerging as an Amazon seller.
I have been setting up product pages by organizing listing information and graphics,
con dent that we will represent as a full- edged seller later this year. Working on this
project reinforced my skills from my last project, but I look forward to expanding our
social platforms and target audience.

I look forward to continuing my academic education at Boston University in the

Now that I’m done with college. I really don’t know what to do. I should
have a list of things I want to do but I don’t. Why? Everyday is so boring. I
play games, eat, sleep. What else can I do. I guess the only thing to do is
just wait for something to do. But even that is boring. I need something
legit to do. For now I will look for a hobby to do.

I guess being a better person and helping people with school is the best
thing I can do. Working on my self and my body wouldn’t be a bad idea. I
