During my field experience, I have been placed in elementary, middle, and high school classrooms, allowing me to
learn and experience various techniques in teaching art of all ages. At each school placed, I learned that having a
positive relationship with your students is of primary importance. I learned you have to make content important to
the students, as well as to yourself.

During my time at Mizzou, I joined the Art Education Program to get my bachelor’s degree, while also getting my
minor in Art History.

Extracurricular Accomplishments

Mizzou Synchronized Skating Club — President & Coach……………………………………….[2013-2017]


● Initiated creation and development of the skating program. Obtained Mizzou approval by presenting a plan
that demonstrated the program would be profitable, successful, and fill a void in Mizzou programs.
● As president, I marketed and secured sponsors for travel expenditures, dresses, etc. to maintain a
self-sustaining program.
● Other responsibilities included but not limited to, making itineraries, budgeting, coordinating schedules,
choreographing music, artistic presentation, costume design, as well as identifying and mitigating team
differences and issues that arise. I was the main liaison between our team and Mizzou, so communication
was a big part of my job as president.
● After graduating from Mizzou I continued to help coach the Mizzou Synchronized Skating Club for 2 years.
