When I was teenager, it was a sweet memory that I can never forget. I realize it when I was
in Junior High School. I moved to town because there was no Junior High School in my village.
There I met new friends from various places/ we had many differences background, but had the
same feeling being new students.
After introducing one another, we exchanged our experiences about what we had been
through in our hometown. I told them that I used to ride a buffalo while playing a flute in the
farmland. They were surprised to know that I was the son of a a farmer.
One of a student told that he was happy to go to a favorite school in town, but felt sad to
leave his friends. The other felt so, but had difficulty to go there because there was no
transportation. He was always picked by his father.
I , myself had an unforgettable experience that I never told to my friends in the beginning of
the study. The first time I came in my classroom, I was so afraid to be a city student that I
couldn’t help sweating all day.

After introducing, share some relevant information about ourselves, and then tell

Children love cartoons, and they can sit for hours watching them. For this reason, Sunday
morning television offers cartoons program another. However, given the age of the viewing
audience, these programs communicate a disturbing message, they suggest that the world is one big
battlefield with war face which is the primary activity of humans and aliens a like. In cartoon after

cartoon, animated character shoots, boom and blow one another up. The message is that war face is
fun, without any serious or damaging effects. And that message is further reinforced by the
commercials interruptions which are designed to sell everything from play thanks to toy grenades.

The princess Who Loved to Sing

Princess Isabel loved to sing very much. She sang anytime and anywhere. When she was
singing, everyone must be quiet. If not, she would punish them.
One day an old beggar asked her some money while she was singing. Princess Isabel was
very angry, but the beggar was angry too. The old beggar was actually a witch. She cursed
Isabel, “From now on, you cannot sing!”
Fortunately, there was a fairy. She was a good one. She said, “You can sing again after you
do a good thing to someone else.”
From then on, Isabel was always good to everybody. She wanted her voice back. However, it
never came back. So, she traveled from one city to another to do good things.
One day, when she took a rest in a forest after her long journey, she saw a thin little boy. The
boy was hungry. Without thinking of herself, Isabel gave her only sandwich. Suddenly, she sang.
The beautiful voice was back.

Indonesia is very famous for its batik. Everywhere you go, you see people wearing batik
shirts and dresses. Indonesia also likes to use it for table-clothes and curtains. Batik has many uses
in several occasions in Indonesia.
A man uses batik for different reason in Eddy Subagio. Eddy is a famous batik artist from
Palembang. Today he lives in Yogyakarta. People from all over the world come to see and buy
Eddy’s batik paintings. American peoples like his paintings very much. They say that they cannot
find such a good batik painting anywhere in America.
Eddy expresses the cultures of Indonesia on his paintings. He describes the life of
countryside. When he paints, he remembers the blue sky and the sun decorating such beautiful
scenery. Eddy expresses the scenery with birds and people.

Two weeks ago, the most modern trade center in Jambi was damaged by fire. The fire took place at
the time when a lot of people were there. Even though the fire brigade had worked to extinguish the
fire, still there were a lot of victims. There were 140 peoples injured and 40 of them were still
hospitalized and 42 peoples passed away. The police worked hard to investigate the cause of the
fire.
