Boys. From the age of 11, he suffered from a hormone deficiency and as Lionel’s parents

Mr. Tucker is the headmaster of my school. He does not wear glasses. His eyes always
frighten me even when I refuse to face them. They are sharp, hard, and cold, and he uses them
like a whip.
He always washes his hands in an enamel basin in the corner of the room. After he has
washed them, he will walk over to his desk and stand behind is looking at the pupils while he
dries his hands on a small, white towel. He dries each finger separately, beginning with the first
finger. His fingers are long and white. He rubs them briskly without losing the effect of
deliberation and as he rubs them, he looks at us with his eyes.
No one moves while he dries his hands, no one speaks. When he finishes, he will fold
the towel and put it in the desk drawer. Then, he will awkwardly smile at us.
He really terrifies me.

Rudyard Kipling, one of England's most famous writers, was born in Bombay,
India, in 1865, where his English father was working for the British government. Kipling spent
his early childhood in India. At six he was taken to England and educated in an English school.
From 1882 until 1883 he was editor of his school paper. He went back to India in 1883. There
he became interested in writing and working for a newspaper. When he was twenty-one he
published his first book, which was a small book of poetry. Before he was twenty- four he
had brought out a small collection of short stories. These were well-liked and full of brilliant
descriptions and accurate observations.
Between 1887 and 1889 Kipling travelled around the world. He visited China, Japan, and
he lived for a few years in America, where he married an American woman. During this period
he wrote several of his most popular works, the stories for children, which made him famous;
The Jungle Books (1894), Kim (1901) and Just So Stories (1902). He also published several books
of poetry during this time. Kipling returned to England from America and spent the rest of his
life there until his death in 1936.

SabuRaijua Art Show
SabuRaijua Art Show is an annual event which is held at SMP Negeri 3 SabuRaijua. The
goal of this programme is to develop students’ talents and creativities. The show is conducted
at the ned of May. It is usually held on Saturday after the semester examination. The show
includes a music show, dancing and drawing.
The show begins at 8 a.m. the show is opened by SMP Negeri 3 marching band and then
followed by drawing. Drawing is a massive programme because all students take part.
While the drawing competition takes place, the music show and dancing are performed
one after another. The music show is the most popular programme. Some participants use live
music and the others are accompanied by keyboard.
Dancing is also one of the programmes students love. Most participants perform folk
dance. They began the dancing practice two monts before the show.
The show usually ends at 2 p.m. all students are very enthusiastic to follow the
programme.

The rafflesia arnoldi is the biggest flower in the world. It is unusual because of its large
size. The flower is almost 100 centimeters in diameter and 140 centimeters in height.
"Rafflesia" is derived from the name of the British Governor General, Sir Thomas Stamford
Raffles, who once governed and built the Botanical Garden in Bogor. Though it is called
Rafflesia after Raffles, the man who discovered the plant was Beccary, an Italian botanist who
visited Sumatra in 1928.
Rafflesia consists of two parts: the stick-like part which grows in the middle and the
petals around and below it. While the flower is blossoming, it has a very unpleasant smell which
affects insects, especially green flies. They seem eager to explore the flower. But if the flies
touch the bottom part of the sticklike centre, they die.
