What is wireless communication?

Wireless communication refers to the transfer of

information between two or more devices without
the use of physical cables or wires. Instead, wireless
communication uses electromagnetic waves, such as
radio frequencies, to transmit information over the
airwaves.

What is Bluetooth?

• Bluetooth is a wireless technology

standard for exchanging data between
devices over short distances.
• It was originally developed in 1994 by
Ericsson and has since been adopted
as a global standard for wireless
communication. Bluetooth technology
uses radio waves to transmit data.
• It allows for low-power, short-range
wireless communication
Bluetooth networking transmits data via low-power radio
waves. It communicates on a frequency of 2.45 gigahertz.

How does Bluetooth doesn’t require line of sight between

communicating devices.

Bluetooth Bluetooth can connect up to eight devices simultaneously.

work? Bluetooth uses a technique called spread- spectrum

frequency hopping
Bluetooth is • It provides agreement at the Physical level—
essentially a Bluetooth is a radio-frequency standard.

networking • It also provides agreement at the Protocol level,

where product must agree on when bits are sent,
standard that how many will be sent at a time, and how the
parties in a conversation can be sure that the
works at two message received is the same as them message
sent.

What is NFC?

• NFC is a short-range high frequency wireless

communication technology that enables the exchange of
data between devices over about a 10cm distance.
• It allows devices to establish peer-to-peer radio
communications, passing data from one device to
another by touching them or putting them very close
together.
How NFC works?
• NFC came out of RFID. RFID, or radio-frequency
identification, is the technology used by superstores to
keep track of goods, it used electromagnetic induction
tin order to transmit information. NFC is similar
technology, but standardized for consumer smartphones.
• NFC is a means of sending data over radio waves. In that
sense it is similar to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, but unlike those
protocols (and like RFID) NFC can be used to induce
electric currents within passive components as well as
just send data. And it is faster than Bluetooth.
Applications…

• NFC chips or tags are very small in size, it can be

embedded in the movie posters, real estate agent
posters etc.
• Health care department.
• NFC will replace car key, ID badges and
credit/debit cards.
• Implementation in food packaging, flyers and
merchandisers as well.
What is Wi-Fi?
• Wi-fi or wireless fidelity, allows you to access the
internet while on the movie; you can remain online while
moving from one area to another in a wireless mode.
• Wi-fi enabled computers send and receive data indoors
and out; anywhere withing the range of a vase station.
• Its just as fast as cable modem connection.
• Wi-fi is a generic term that refers to the IEEE 80211
communications standard for wireless local area
networks(WLANs)
What is Hotspot?
• A Hotspot is any location where Wi-Fi network
access is made publicly available.
• Hotspot are equipped with a Broadband Internet
connection, and one or more Access Points that
allow users to access the Internet wirelessly.
• Hotspots can be setup in any public location that
can support an Internet connection. All the
locations discussed below are examples of
Hotspots.
Wi-Fi Hotspot Locations

• Airports
• Hotels and Resorts
• Restaurants
• Coffee Shops
• Bookstores
• Shopping Malls

 There are several online services allow you find

hotspot locations.
Advantages of wireless communication
• Freedom from wires: Can be configured with the use of any
physical connection.
• Easy to setup: Wireless network is easy to expand and setup
• Flexibility: Wireless network is more flexible and adaptable
compared to a wired network.
• Cost-effectiveness: Since it is easy to install and doesn’t require
cables, the wireless network is relatively cheaper.
• Data transmission is fast: In wireless network data
Disadvantages of wireless
communication
• Unreliability
• More open to interference.
• Increased chance of jamming.
• Transmission speed is comparably less.
• It has a limited amount of bandwidth for communication and breaches
of network security.
• Wireless networks can be easily hacked.
• Wireless networks require a careful radio frequency when they are
installed.
• Difficult to set up little experience people.
Overall overcome of wireless
communication system

Wireless communication is play a major role in the

world wide communication. Now a day we can not
think without wireless communication so it is very
important in our modern society.
For example, Doctors will be able to monitor and
handling his patients who are thousands of miles
using by wireless communication.
