11:05-11:15 Language Arts: Writing: Narrative Writing Assignment
We are going to start our mid-year Narrative Writing Assignment. This is
a quick two-day story assignment so we can track our growth from
the beginning of the year and set goals for the last half of the year.
Students can choose a fiction or non-fiction story to write. They may
want to use an event that has happened to them if they are stuck for
ideas.
Students will want to remember to:
- Make a beginning for their story
- Show what happened, in order
- Use details to help readers picture their story
- Make an ending for their story
- Check spelling, capital letters, and punctuation
11:15-12:10 Independent Work Time
This is one of two classes that students will have to work on their story.
We will continue our story writing tomorrow.
