How to install drivers for Digital Persona fingerprint reader

Overview:

This guide will walk you through the steps to install the drivers for the Digital Persona fingerprint reader
for use with Club ready

Requirements:
1. Windows log in with administrative rights
2. Internet access to download driver zip file
3. Digital Persona U.are.U 4500 Fingerprint Reader

Notes:

After the driver is installed, you will be prompted to restart. Please save and close all applications
before starting this procedure.

 Step 1 - Access driver zip file from ClubReady website

1. Launch internet browser and type in the following address:

http://www.clubready.com/apps/installprocess/files/DigitalPersonaRTE.zip
2. Press enter.

 Step 2 - Answer prompt to save file

1. Click the Save as button

 Step 3 - Select desired location to save file

1. Save file to desired location, for this example the downloads folder has been selected. You can
select any location you prefer like the desktop.
2. After the desired location has been selected, click the save button.

 Step 4 - Start process to extract the zip file

1. Navigate to the folder you downloaded the driver zip file

2. Place mouse cursor over the zip file and then click the right mouse button. Use the left mouse
button to select "Extract All..."

 Step 5 - Finish process to extract the zip file

1. A prompt window will appear, Click the Extract button.

 Step 6 - Open RTE installation folder

1. A new window will appear. Double-click the RTE folder to open this installation folder

 Step 7 - Start the installation

1. Double-click the Setup file to start the installation. You may receive a prompt asking if it is ok to
install the digital persona software, click yes to this message.

1. Click Next.

1. Select "I accept the terms in the license agreement.

2. Click Next.

Step 14 - Restart of computer

1. Click Yes, this will restart the computer so please make sure all work is saved and applications are
closed before clicking Yes.

 Testing the fingerprint scanner after restart

After logging back into the computer plug the USB cable for the fingerprint scanner. The computer
should detect the fingerprint scanner and install the driver.
