Sustainable developmental policy of NGOS

Introduction

The term sustainable develop firstly coined in mid of 1980, and defined as satisfying the
present needs to meet their own need without contributing the ability of future generation.
Sustainable development is the effective use of resources for economic development while
preserving the environment and ecosystem so that not only the need of present are fulfilled
but also for the future generation. An NGO consist of the ability to identify the relevant
mission through performing different management practices and developing diversified
income sources that cover the targeted populations and assure the quality activities
continuation.

Purpose and importance of NGOS sustainable development

There are invaluable contributions are made by the non-governmental organizations around
the globe and the main objective of these non- profit organization is to deliver high quality
and productive product and services. It organizes various educative, informative and
communicational programs that encourage towards healthy behavior and these organizations
have capacity to build and make changes that meets the needs of the health in community.
The main purpose of the sustainable development of NGOS is

 To minimize resources use


Sustainable development plays vital role for the management of renewable sources
that benefits the whole environment and human community and is supported the
renewable sources that come from environmental sources.

 Reducing toxic material and hazardous chemical use


Sustainable policy helps to avoid using unnecessary materials that are hazardous and
tries to maintain these chemical so that it doesn’t cause any harm to human and the
environment.
 Employing life cycle management approaches
Creating a competitive edge, securing long-term market access, improving
environmental credentials is the increasing important and these activities and
managed by the NGOS. By life cycle management and assessment NGOS focus
on the credit give perspective.
 Promoting sustainability principles
The major 3 principle of sustainability policy is economy, society and economy and te
NGOS play major role in the conservation of these sectors.

 Raising awareness among stakeholders


NGOS need to focus on the greater understanding of how to achieve balanced
integration of the three dimensions sustainable development and for this deliberation
stakeholders play vital role.
 Training staff regarding sustainability principles and techniques
Various training programs such as youth leadership trainings, educational
trainings, entrepreneurship training, corporate sustainability training must be
provided to the stakeholders and staffs regarding sustainability principle and
techniques.
Importance:
 It creates the environment under which human can meet their need without harming
the nature
 Enable fulfillment of social, economic and other requirement of present and future
generation
 Ensure that we have, and will continue to have, the water, materials nd resources tp
protect human, health, and environment

Planning Sustainability Policy


Sustainability is the term which refers as meeting the needs of the present generation without
compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. NGOS develop
various plans to meet the choices and how these choices affect future generation. For the
purpose of community planning sustainability is the alignment of our built environment and
socio-economic activities with natural system that support life with the future generation in
mind. Sustainability plan provides a blueprint with how humidity should be more sustainable
overtime.
The responsibility of NGO
 Meeting local obligations
 Contribute for economic growth adopting clean technology
 Reducing dependency on carbon-based energy sources
 Improving energy efficiency and cost saving
 Improving air quality and public health
Plan of NGO for the all community, all sectors, and local agency operations
The plan include all the operations such as planning department, building division, code
enforcement, public works and it also include the entire community such as residential
community, the business community, the industrial community as well as the health care
community. Providing a written plan will provide a road map to guide all the Customers,
Staff, Investors, Local community, Regulators, Technical specialists and the community to
work on sustainability efforts. A plan can strengthen the communities by in n understanding
of the efforts needed to keep the local community and members of NGOS operating and
protecting resources today and for the future.

It helps to formulate express the vision for the future of community

NGOS stakeholders and member incorporate the vision into sustainability goals at the highest
levels of local government.

Implementation of sustainability principles and all municipals and communal activities
What typically included in a sustainability plan:
The economy over the last several years, agencies have had challenge with the resource and
funding. To prepare sustainability plans there is a cost to prepare and agencies they may not
have the fund to prepare a plan, NGO is planning to apply for the NPOS for funding. For
example, over the last few years there is 74RFPs for sustainability development and
proposals but among these RFPs only 5 or 6 RFPs for sustainability plan so again the
challenge of resources in public agencies to work on them and funding to support the pan.
