What’s New

iOS14 Widget
This update brings full support for the latest iOS &
iPadOS 14. Long tap your home screen until the
apps jiggle and press + (on the top left corner) to
select the PDF Reader widget. You can quickly
access the recently opened files and useful tools
with shortcuts.
Built-in Converter
Users can convert PDF files to Office documents
through the built-in converter for instead. Free
users also can convert the first 3 pages per file for
free.

1. In the converter page, select the output


format

2. Turn on “Built-in Converter”

3. Set the page range and tap “Start”

4. The output file(s) will be saved in the


“Converted” folder
Scribble on iPad with
Apple Pencil
Scribble on iPad allows you to add text and fill
forms with Apple Pencil. You can write in any text
field, and your writing will automatically be
converted to text. Scribble works for the text box
tool, sticky note, and filling out PDF forms.
Draw with PencilKit
PDF Reader integrates with Apple’s PencilKit in
the latest update. Users can enjoy the brand new
writing experience with the freehand writing tool
(available for iOS13 and later).
Action Extension
PDF Reader supports the Action Extension with
useful tools that are available for use within other
apps.

1. In the sharing panel.

2. Find out “Edit with PDF Reader”.

3. Then there are 3 tools provided by PDF


Reader for you to choose from, including
“Import to PDF Reader”, “Annotate”, and
“Sign and Fill”.

4. Then save it to PDF Reader after editing.


iPadOS Multitasking
With the new feature, you can turn multiple tabs
into separate windows from the PDF Reader app
(Only available for devices running iPadOS).

1. Enable the “Tabbed Reading” mode from App

2. Drag a tab off the tab bar

3. Then the tab will turn into a brand new window

4. You can work on two windows in Split View or


multiple windows in Slide Over
iPadOS Dark Mode
You can choose Light or Dark mode from Device
Settings > Display & Brightness. Then the PDF
Reader app will change the theme automatically
based on your system preference (available for
iOS13 and later).

PDF Reader Mac version also supports Dark


Mode for devices running macOS Mojave and
later.
Gain Access to Dropbox mange the files in the PDF Reader app from
within Files.
Simply tap the “Import” button from the Documents
tab without switching to the Connection tab. Then
you can access you files on Dropbox. 1. Tap “On My iPad” from the Files app.
