Steaming hot Almond Milk served in a bowl with crispy, buttery puff pastry stretched
across the top is a dessert staple of the Chinese dim sum restaurant.
INGREDIENTS:
METRIC IMPERIAL
1 tbsp Butter
1 tbsp Honey
1 sheet Puff Pastry
LET'S START
Step 1
Preheat oven to 180 °C / 350 °F. In a large pan, combine
almond milk, whipping cream, oatmeal, almond slices,
butter, honey, and bring to boil. With a hand blender,
blend the almond milk mixture until smooth. Set aside.
Step 2
Transfer equal portions of the boiled almond tea into 3~4
small bowls. Top them with the puff pastry squares.
Stretch the puff pastry square to cover the dish opening
tight.
Step 3
Bake for 10 minutes, then brush the egg wash on top of
the puff pastry. Bake for an additional 10 minutes or until
the puff pastry turns golden brown.
Step 4
Decorate with Sprinkles.
