1. Why was the story entitled Cielo? Who is Cielo?
The story is entitled Cielo because it focuses on the subject of the narration
named Cielo. According to the story it appears that the narrator has an affair
with Cielo who is a married woman. Therefore, it can be concluded that the
narrator is a mistress of Cielo and they are in a lesbian relationship.
2. Discuss the meaning of this line from the last part of the story: “But, as
writers always say, it is not over until you are able to write stories like
this. Then maybe you can say that it was worth it.”
It means that the relationship and the fascination of the narrator towards
the subject Cielo is indeed special. It is important to know that the experience
she had with Cielo is unforgettable that she is able to write the story and share
it to other people. Finally, I believe that her encounter with Cielo is the best
moment of her life.
3. What is the biggest lesson that you have learned after reading the
story?
Love knows no gender. By love, we are able to do unimaginable things for
the sake of our feelings. However, we must be mindful with the consequences
because there is always a consequence in everything we do. We must conform
to the word of our Lord and conform and obey his commandments so that we
are always in the right path.
4. Is the story Cielo still relevant up to this day? If yes, how? If no, why?
Yes, because love is infinite. It will not go away. People will still experience
love for centuries to come. Also, the situation that the narrator and Cielo are
experiencing, were also experience and will be experience by millions of people
around the world. Finally, the true love that we will always seek is the love of
our Lord God.
5. What did you feel after reading the story?
I am amazed and enlightened because they are able to do everything for
love. Everyone can relate to the story because when we fell in love, we consider
it as the best experiences of our lives and we can do everything even risk our
lives in the name of love. Love makes us human and love makes our lives
beautiful and in harmony.
