Special requirement

1 Certification and Additional Information


The certifications provided by Bidders to Canada are always subject to verification by Canada. if any
certification made by the Bidder is found to be untrue whether made knowingly or unknowingly, during
the contract period. The Contracting Authority will have the right to ask for additional information to
verify the certifications. Failure to comply and to cooperate with any request or requirement imposed by
the Contracting Authority will render the bid non-responsive or constitute a default under the Contract.

1.1 Compliance and Applicable Laws


The Contract must be interpreted and governed, and the relations between the parties determined, by
the laws in force in Saskatchewan.

Unless specified otherwise, the continuous compliance with the certifications provided by the
Contractor in its bid or precedent to contract award, and the ongoing cooperation in providing
additional information are conditions of the Contract and failure to comply will constitute the Contractor
in default. Certifications are subject to verification by Canada during the entire period of the Contract.

1.2 Certifications Precedent to Contract Award and Additional Information


The certifications and additional information listed below should be submitted with the bid but may be
submitted afterwards. If any of these required certifications or additional information is not completed
and submitted as requested, the Contracting Authority will inform the Bidder of a time frame within
which to provide the information. Failure to provide the certifications or the additional information
listed below within the time frame provided will render the bid non-responsive.

1.2.1 Integrity Provisions – Required Documentation & List of Names


In accordance with the section titled Information to be provided when contracting, the Bidder must
provide the required documentation, as applicable, to be given further consideration in the
procurement process. Bidders who are incorporated, must provide a complete list of names of all
individuals who are currently directors of the Bidder.

1.2.2 Federal Contractors Program for Employment Equity - Bid Certification


By submitting a bid, it certifies that the Bidder, and any of the Bidder's members if the Bidder is a Joint
Venture, is not named on the Federal Contractors Program (FCP) for employment equity "FCP Limited
Eligibility to Bid" the Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) – Labor.

2 Environment
Stargate accompanying this certificate has been found to conform to the Environmental Management
System standard: ISO 14001:2015. The batteries referenced herein are considered exempt articles and
are not subject to the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard; therefore, a SDS is not required.

This certificate is valid for the following scope: Activities, processes, products, and services associated
with sourcing, manufacturing, and packaging, supply chain, and quality organizations; Surface devices
design and development and waste management.
3 Packaging
The Contractor must prepare item for delivery in accordance with the latest issue of the Canadian Forces
Packaging Specification D-LM-008-036/SF-000, Department of National Defense Minimum Requirements
for Manufacturer's Standard Pack. Directive on Packaging and Packaging Waste (1994/62/EC), as
amended by 2018/852/EU and CEN packaging standards (EN 13427:2005) as well as US Toxics in
Packaging legislation.

4 Preservation
4.1 Handling
Use only approved charging equipment. Do not expose cell or battery to extreme heat or fire. Do not
disassemble, puncture, crush or burn battery. Avoid handling in a way that would cause a short circuit.

4.2 Storage
Store batteries in a dry location. To minimize any adverse effects on battery performance it is
recommended that the batteries be kept at room temperature (25°C +/- 5°C). Elevated temperatures
can result in shortened cell life. Keep out of reach of children.
