In addition, a clause not specified in the corresponding International Standards (designation of products) is also provided in this Japanese Industrial Standard 1 Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the roller chains and bush chains used in general for transmission (hereafter referred to as "roller chain") Shape and dimensions of attachment are specified in Annex 1 and shape and di- mensions of sprockets in Annex 2. Remarks 1 Hardness and fatigue limit of parts of roller chains are shown in Informative reference. 2. The following are the corresponding International Standards to this Standard ISO 606:1994 Short-pitch transmission precision roller chains and chain wheels ISO 1396:1977 Short pitch transmission precision bush chaine and chain wheels 2 Classification 21 Nominal number The nominal numbers of roller chains are as shown in ‘able 1 according to pitch length and other dimensions. Note (?) Attachment is normally that the plate making inner plate and/or outer plate is extended to be a extrusion in a state of tongue and that the pin is extended and extruded out of the outer plate. 2 Classification The attachments shall be classified as shown in Annex 1 Table 1. Shape and dimensions of tooth form 3.1 Calculation formula of reference dimension Basic tooth form of sprocket shall be S tooth form, UJ tooth form and ISO tonth form, and the reference dimensions of pitch circle diameter, outer diameter, root circle diameter, root distance, maximum, hub diameter and maximum keyway diameter (in the case of duplex or more chain ines) shall be calculated by the formulae as given in Annex 2 Table 1. Pitch circle diameter of unit pitch (p=1 mm) is given in Annex 2 Table 2.
