ANIM2057 Week 13 – Checklist

Welcome to week 13! Quote of the week: Teachers, who educate children, deserve more
honor than parents, who merely gave them birth; for the latter provided mere life,
while the former ensured a good life. ― Aristotle

☐ ALL STUDENTS – TUTORIAL: No tutorial in week 13.

Tutorial accounts for 15% of final grade. Graded weekly tutorials will be summed up and
converted to 15%.

☐ ALL STUDENTS – PRACTICALS

Practicals were compulsory however due to the Covid-19 crisis there will be flexibility
around this based on reasonable compassionate grounds and students will not be penalised
(automatic fail) if missed out any practical.

Weighting: Each practical carried equal weighting towards to the 20% final assessment.

Internal (and externals week-week) practicals – total 11 practicals however only 10 will be
used to calculate the 20% grade. There was a clerical error with prac 11 (Week 12-Kidney
prac) as model answers were available on Bb and integrity was compromised.
Thus prac 11 will not count towards the 20% final grade. The renal prac will be marked and
feedback provided. Apologies for any inconvenience.
Externals – 9 practicals that were done during the residential school will count towards your
20% final assessment weighting.

SeCat feedback is now open: please kindly provide your sincere reflection on how well you were
guided in ANIM2057 course throughout this crazy & challenging semester, constructive and valuable
feedback on the educators, team-work, and course content.

Your valuable feedback will help us to reflect on the collective effort and plan for 2021!
