REMEDIAL INSTRUCTION PROGRAM PROPOSAL

I. OBJECTIVES and STRATEGY

This project is intended to help the students who have difficulty in coping up with the
modular mode of learning in this new normal caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The program is
aimed to improve the performance and ratings of the selected learners in the identified sitios of
barangays Bineng, Banengbeng, and the municipalities of La Trinidad and Tublay. The
proponent with the help of the subject teachers in each grade level will get in contact with the
learners (via SMS, Facebook/Messenger or face to face/house to house) and inform them of the
program. After informing the participants and their parents of the program, the proponent and
the subject teachers will then conduct the limited face to face remedial intervention with the
concerned students at their designated Adivayan Park in their locality. The teachers and the
participants will be meeting once a week for the remedial activities and performances using
discussion, show and tell, or any other means of instruction. This project will start on June 10,
2021 and will end on July 10, 2021. The participants will not incur any cost as the materials are
free of charge and the learning will take place in the area nearest their residence. The expenses
incurred by the teachers on materials reproduction and transportation will be from the school’s
MOOE.

II. KEY RESULT AREA TO BE DELIVERED

 Remedial Intervention for ALL Subjects

III. TITLE OF ACTIVITY: I’m Only One Call Away

A. Rationale

The modular method of learning has brought difficulties to students especially to the
auditory and kinesthetic learners. For the past three grading periods, 42% of the students are
failing for each grading period since they couldn’t cope up with the modular way of learning. As
a result, teachers either need to contact these students through phone calls or through
messenger or they have to conduct face to face instruction for them to learn and answer their
modules.

This fourth quarter, the problem has risen to new heights since 15% at most of these
students are not submitting their modules. Thus the proponent came up with the proposal of
conducting limited face-to-face interaction with these students at their designated Adivayan
Learning Centers in their respectful barangays or sitios.

B. Objectives
The program aims to:

1. Administer remediation activities to students who have difficulty in coping up with the modular
method of learning.
2. Offer limited face to face learning to auditory and kinesthetic students especially in MAPEH
and TLE.
3. Conduct a “Kumustahan” session with the students who are having difficulty in answering and
passing their modules.

C. Participants

The project is intended for the academically challenged learners in Grades 7-12 of
BeNHS-Bineng Annex. Their parents are also enlisted to help their children cope with the
activities of the project/program. They are as follows:

Grade Level Male Female Total

Grade 7 8 0 8
Grade 8 15 3 18
Grade 9 15 8 23
Grade 10 10 5 15
Grade 11 7 2 9
Grade 12 4 7 11
TOTAL 59 25 84

D. Date of Conduct

The program is expected to start on June 10, 2021 and will end on July 10, 2020. The
participants will not incur any cost as the materials are free of charge. The expenses incurred
by the proponent on printing and transportation will be from the school’s MOOE.

E. Mode of Delivery

This program is intended to improve the learning abilities and ratings of the students in
their specific subjects.

The proponent will get in contact with the participants (via SMS, Facebook/Messenger or
face to face/house to house) and inform them of the proposal. After informing them of the
program, the proponent together with the subject teachers will meet with the learners in their
specific Adivayan Learning Centers in their barangay/sitio. The subject teachers where the
learners have low performance will discuss and talk about the lesson in the manner where the
learners can best understand them. This way, the teachers and the learners can come up with
the appropriate performance task and assessment method that the learner can perform and
answer. The concerned learners will not incur any cost as the learning will be given to them
near their area of residence. The expenses incurred by the proponent on materials and
transportation will be from the school’s MOOE.

G. Budget Estimate

Source of Fund: MOOE

Budget Estimate:

Particulars Quantity Unit Unit Cost Total Cost

1. Jacket (with IPED accent) 11 piece 900.00 9,900.00
2. T-shirt (with IPED accent) 11 piece 600.00 6,600.00
3. Diesel (for transportation) 50 liters 45.00 2,250.00
TOTAL 18,750.00

Since the teachers, which includes the proponent, will be travelling to the
designated Adivayan Learning Areas for each sitio/barangay, they need to possess a
sense of identity to the learners and to the community as a whole. Thus, the second
main point of this proposal is for the procurement of uniforms for the teaching
personnel of the school.

H. Monitoring and Assessment

How to Monitor and Assess: The program will be monitored by the School Head weekly
through weekly reports from the proponent and the subject teachers. Prior to the
implementation of the program, the participants will be assessed though a pre-test. During the
implementation, the students will be assessed weekly through a written or oral output/test. A
post-test will be given after the five-week intervention program.

Who will Monitor and Assess: The School Head will monitor and assess the progress of the
program. Suggestions will be given as needed.
