B. Project Proposal Proper

I. Introduction:

The Philippines is the only Christian country in the Far East. Part of the
Filipino culture and values is the deep relationship with God through the different
devotion to the different titles of Jesus Christ, Virgin Mary and other saints. We have
devotions to Jesus Christ and saints because we believe that They help us in our needs
and all we need to do is to work and pray for our needs and all shall be provided.
One of the most loved devotion to Jesus Christ is the devotion to his Sacred
Heart. This is the very reason why this activity was conceptualized. We believe that
many are being helped by Jesus Christ through this devotion.
People nowadays are too preoccupied in coping with the fast technological
advancement and economic development that they seem to neglect their spiritual
needs and obligation.
The proponent is also looking forward for this project to be amplified and
inspire parents and other residents of Barangay Manguiring and other nearby barangays
to strengthen their devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

II. Rationale:

This project was conceptualized based on what was written “Man can’t live by bread
alone but through every word that comes from God”. We need above all things to live
accordingly to the Word of God.
This is also in consonance with the school’s vision “…to produce God-fearing and value-
oriented and competitive graduates…”

III. Project Description:

This is a spiritual activity through the celebration of the First Friday Masses
every month. This activity will provide the students an opportunity for deepening their
spiritual relationship with God and to develop positive and desirable moral values.

IV. Objectives:

1. Promote and develop desirable moral values.

2. Provide an opportunity of developing devotion to the Sacred Heart of
Jesus.
3. Foster good relationship with God, school, family and friends.

V. Significance:

This project will provide the students positive experience on developing

desirable attitudes and values towards God, family and other people. Through the
regular communication with God they may realize their need for God and their need for
constant communion with Him through prayers and devotions to Him and saints.
This project is very relevant also to Barangay Manguiring and other adjacent
barangays for through this project the local government of this community will have
residents who are spiritually and morally developed and is believed to contaminate
others like their family, relatives and friends.
The administration, teachers and students can also utilize this project to
serve as the basis for future programs related to this.
