The world as we know it is changing very fast, and with it comes the evolution of language.
Language demands the knowledge of macro skills – listening, speaking, writing, and viewing
skills. You must keep in mind that all of these skills must be acquired simultaneously or all-
together. Although it is ideal to be equally knowledgeable in all of these macro-skills, some
learners are more proficient in one skill and weaker in another. However, proficiency in reading
and writing is a must for reading demands comprehension, while writing is an output which
springs from reading. They are interconnected and complementary in nature, so mastery of these
skills will help you succeed in your chosen field. With or without the use of technology, raw
outputs from reading materials through printed form can make a difference in your life.
Therefore, you must develop enthusiasm, eagerness and passion to enhance your language skills
and eventually master the English Language.
